The scum are at it again and I am not talking about Arsenal

By Bruce Grove -

Some things never change but that does not mean that we should give up.

What am I talking about? Racism that is what.

This time it is Davinson Sanchez that is the victim of the scum peddling their vile abuse online.

Sanchez had a bad game, we all know that and so will he but that is absolutely irrelevant, it makes no difference what he did on the field of play, in no way does he deserve to be the subject of nasty abuse, especially racist abuse.

The first I knew about this was via a Tweet from Tottenham.

After a little research it became clear that we are talking about Facebook owned Instagram and that is where Davinson reacted with the words nothing changes.

However, I quickly checked out his Twitter account and on a post showing an image of him and his family I saw some of the racial abuse myself, in fact, it was still live as I wrote this.

I will not say what it was and of course, reported it and I am glad to say that the disgusting racists got attacked by genuine Spurs fans.

It was also noticeable that the offending Tweets appear to be based abroad with next to no followers.

This really has to stop and the authorities, be it Government or football can do something about this, boycotts and legislation spring to mind immediately.

There is nothing wrong with criticising a footballer, that is what being a fan is all about but to use racial slurs and imagery is beyond the pale.

It is now getting to a stage where I will have no issue with the players going on strike or taking some form of action.

I am personally against kneeling before games, I am not a soft liberal snowflake but I like to think of myself as a decent human being and racially abusing another human being for having a bad game is simply revolting in my book.

They are scum, plain and simple and the quicker the (insert swear word) off, the better. In fact, the quicker they are brought up on charges, the better.

All very sad, and it all started with the murder of Liverpool supporters to make way for their Americanized wet dream, all seater, prawn sandwich, foreign influx. As you say, today it’s totally gone….football without fans is nothing and now you will need to show proof of an unlawfull experimental procedure to enter a stadium. That cup of hope? In this world it’s spilt abject on the floor. The next? Well, that’s what the gospel is for.
Here’s to long memory’s, the High road, the Paxton, East stand, Park Lane and West….Glenn, Waddlers dropped shoulder and We’ll take more care of you…Archibald, Archibald….

It’s a shame the “custodians” didn’t take more care of our football club and the sport itself.

Disgraceful and I don’t think represents Spurs fans. No one knows who says this crap but i don’t know any Spurs fans like this. We’ve seen bloody awful performances but this type of abuse is disgusting. Hope the kid – and he’s still a kid – can see it’s a minority group of faceless cowards.

Social media is a refuge for nasty little sh*ts. Racists, sexists, narcissists, loony leftists, the hard right, gossipers, loud mouths, the self centred, the vain, attention seekers and the self righteous…. Everything that’s unpleasant about humans behaviour is there.

It should be banned

Simpler times, without the avalanche of money that’s sucking the joy out of things. Pure unadulterated joy, Ricky Villa slaloming through a pre oil company City defence and us lifting the FA Cup when it still was a high point of the season and when it was Spurs who were synonymous with the Cup. They can’t take that away from us.

Harry. I will continue to ply my attention to this blog. It’s like a Shakespeare comedy of the best ingredients in an Irish stew with Worcester sauce. Today was awful. Again. It’s so obvious. It’s a club without a team.

Yes, there are ways of telling Sanchez he was utter sh*t today without being an obnoxious racist knob.

Can’t see any normal fan resorting to that sort of behaviour.

I’ve been around the block and again since the days of Keith Burkinshaw which I was lucky enough to experience the magic of some and hard grit of others. Old bill giving it some under the fifth light in the North Bank stand. After match drinks with good friends and gooner girlfriends in the Gunners bar. All respect. Those days were great. Full of energy and laughs. ICF always a laugh. Meet ups in Aldgate East. The memories are full of joy.

I’ve begun to lose the joy and hope of years gone by whilst watching a repeat of spursy after modders was sold. Gazza bless him was worth the 7 quid and more into the Park Lane. I would of paid 20 or 30 quid. Peter Shilton hated me.

I’ve cried with joy after the Man City final. The Gazza Free kick against them. Kane with his dynamite strikes.

Today it’s all bollox. Empty platitudes with empty stadiums.

I’ll still look into the cup of hope. However we all know its empty.

You’re right Bruce, not acceptable. But very difficult to police when people can hide their identity and post from abroad.

I don’t believe these are Tottenham fans. You don’t get this at matches now so it’s got to be more provocateurs behind the anonymity of social media. All toward more online censorship. Can’t see any football fan these days venting racist abuse however bad a match a player had.

Well said, H. 👏👏 These disgusting cowards must be punished to the fullest extent of whatever laws apply, and social media platforms must take a measure of responsibility for this too.

Absolutely despicable behaviour

Football is football, we all have differing opinions, likes and dislikes, many times we will not agree. Sh!t happens.

Racial abuse, or any abuse is abhorrent and is shameful. Doesnt matter if it’s in today’s society or the past, this thought process to abuse someone because of their colour is disgraceful.

Sadly social media allows these faceless cowards to spew hate.
