The news that Sergio Reguilon received a knock last night playing for his country against Portugal has naturally created a few moans and groans across the fanbase, and after an extensive search, we believe we’ve found the moment that it all went wrong for the boy.
It was this ham-fisted attempt at a clearance after the 40th minute, and Sergio completely miskicked. Anyone who has played the game (even just in the playground) will know that this can cause a fair jolt of pain to one’s ankle, but it is not a career ending injury.
Indeed, in the Evening Standard report that Luis Enrique, the Spanish gaffer did not refer the 23-year-old to the medical staff, ahead of their next games against Switzerland and Ukraine.
With any luck, this minor incident is highly unlikely to disrupt Sergio’s obligations to Tottenham.
Just sticking up for myself and my club man. But yes.
Let’s try to put WW3 behind us now, eh? x
Stupid people are everywhere pretending not to be
Phew. He’ll be alright.
Ha Ha Ha …… on another level of ridiculousness entirely I’ve just heard that Ozil the Pozil at Arzenil has agreed to pay the mascot’s wages for as long as he (Oz the Poz) is at the club. Bet the arse & their fans are so glad to still have him on bored; what a guy.
Thank goodness for that. We need the lad. Send him home.
No proofreader in the world can help ‘stupid’
Reg was not playing for his country against Spain, he was playing for Spain against Portugal. Luis Enrique is not the Portuguese gaffer, he is the Spain gaffer.
I am available for proofreading, but I am prohibitively expensive.
