The Good Of Aarons Exposes The Bad & Ugly Of Sessegnon For Norwich Penalty [Video]

By Joe Fish -

Max Aarons and Ryan Sessegnon could be the future full-back pair at Spurs.

The Norwich City right-back has been touted as a £30m target by Sky Sports.

And tonight he got one over Sessegnon by winning Norwich a penalty which Teemu Pukki converted past Hugo Lloris – although only just.

Here is the spot kick, and a video of Sessegnon’s foul on Aarons.

This shows the sort of attacking run into the box which has made 19-year-old Aarons hot property, and the sort of clumsy tackle which makes some people believe Sessegnon’s long-term position is further up the pitch.

many of us now slating the boy were probably also guilty of screaming at Levy to “get the deal over the line” for the boy.
I think he looks like a startled rabbit and needs to be gently brought on, bring him on for a few mins, ease him in. I think there’s a player in there if he can get his head right.

I hope that crack about senior players doesn’t include Toby. After 18 months of not being offered a reasonable extension he signed on because of Jose’s man management skills.

What do you mean? A narrow win at home to the bottom team orchestrated by a serial winner! Don’t shoot.

It is uncanny how you have arrived at these conclusions… but I like them.

I hope Jose gets us 4th, I mean why sack Poch if he doesn’t?

Well if sticking a knee in the back of someone’s thigh after he’s gone past you isn’t a foul then I suppose it wasn’t a pen … 🙁

As said previously , and he is no defender, but coaches logic is , if you can run fast you must be a WB.

All those trumpeting ‘the Mourinho effect’ a few weeks ago don’t seem to be saying that anymore… 😂

I don’t think Sessegnon is ready.

I thought Sessegnon was singularly uninspiring tonight, both defensively and in attack. Having said that, it wasn’t a penalty. The camera footage showed quite clearly, from the ‘behind the goal’ angle, he never touched him.

The commentators certainly weren’t, said the second goal was polyfilla. Also talked about how bad the senior players were and I would have to agree.
