The debate is now over – Son Heung-min is a genuine world-class player

If Son Heung-min played for Barcelona or was born in the Favela’s of Brazil then there would never have been a debate about how good Son is, it would have been accepted that he is a genuine world-class player.

But because he is South Korean and plays for Spurs his ability is questioned, you can work out why for yourselves.

Son is not just having a great season this campaign, he has been frighteningly consistent season after season and it is only now that he is being recognised as the world-class talent he is.

There is a short memory syndrome affecting Son from a lot of pundits and fans alike, for some reason they conveniently forget what he has done, especially when Harry Kane has been injured.

People have clearly forgotten what he did in the Champions League campaign when Kane was sidelined, they forget what he has done time and again when he has had to shoulder the goal-scoring burden on his own.

If Robert Lewandowski had scored the goal that Son scored against Burnley last season it would have been hailed as one of the greatest solo goals ever but of course, it is Son and so that does not happen.

Listening to Arsenal fans all week prior to the NLD yesterday the one player that frightened the life out of them was Son and what he would do to Hector Bellerin.

Well, they were definitely right to be worried.

There will still be some bitter and salty pundits and fans out there that will deny that Son is world-class. That is their problem and it does not change the cold hard fact that the South Korean magician is without doubt, world-class.

Anyone can see how good a player he is right from when he arrived, I am not sure he is better now , I just think he is an outstanding player, love his attitude as much as his play.

Son has always been an outstanding player, just unfortunate that Mauricio never truly got the best out of him (& others) consistently enough, which José is now.

No brainer, the lad has taken to the PL like a duck to water. Slow start tbf, which means there’s still hope for Lo Celso.
