The Best Explanation Of Why Conte May Have Been The Wrong Man For The Job All Along That You’ll Hear This Week| video

By The Boy -

I make no apology for being a Simon Jordan, he speaks lots of sense, and perhaps most miraculously he allows me to listen to Jim White without having really awful, malevolent thoughts.

One can imagine that the discussions between Levy and Conte were brief. This is a manager who wants to get in, get backed, and then get out again clutching …a swag bag of medals.

Great managers are unstoppable forces. Is Paulo Fonseca a great manager? Save yourselves a postcard and the price of a stamp…

Imaging how the vested fans in Milan are feeling that they hire a mercenary. Am not arguing success, just kiddie behavior of some managers. Usually the bridgesmate are trying to catch up. This guy won and he walk with the confetti in the air. I do not want him at my club.

No, no, Conte was the right man for the job, it is ENIC and Levy who are the wrong men for the job. A property investment group with absolutely no aptitude or inclination for investing money in the footballing side of the operation, which they view as an inconvenient encumbrance to their real estate investment ambitions

The potential Paratici/Fonseca axis represents a cheap couple of ‘patsies’, recruited by Levy, to deflect blame from the ENIC’s dismal shortcomings. A couple of ‘fall guys’ to disingenuously cover up Levy’s own executive ineptitude and ENIC’s staggering lack of ambition as custodians of a world class football club.

Levy’s the man apparently who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. An overpaid, over-promoted, nepotistic beneficiary of a business executive, unable or unwilling to identify the reasonable market rate for anything, including stadium sponsorship/naming rights, incoming player acquisition, comprehensive business insurance, etc, the list goes on.

The failure of this plutocratic pair of ‘chancers’, Lewis and Levy, has never been more apparent. Unless these parasitic charlatans can be forced to sell the club, through an open revolt of the fanbase, more years of mediocrity and stagnation await. This club is now the football equivalent of the ‘Titanic’ and Levy the oblivious helmsman who unerringly found the iceberg. ENIC out!

Conte: I hear you are looking for an ambitious manager?
Levy: we are looking for a manager.
Conte: and what transfer budget do I get?
Levy: as much as you want to put in the kitty yourself Antonio as I’m skint –
Poundland cleared me out.
Conte: arrive derci so the rumours are true!
Levy: didn’t want you anyway, you win too much…

HH, I am surprised with your comment ref Simon Jordan because he rates Daniel Levy very highly for his role at Spurs 9/10 he marks him

However I agree with the sentiment of late around the club that if they ENIC are not willing to push then let someone who is do it

Seems to me he is just the fall guy waiting for Pochetino`s contract to end

I think the pressure is such that Enic will be forced to sell the club

They want to hire a manager who they don’t have to back because no one expects him to win anything.

You and many others have already said it before. The remit from ENIC is to spend as little as possible to maintain PL television rights money and some form / any form of European participation. Winning is absolutely not required or desirable as it raises expectations and is expensive. The marginal earnings benefit generated by actually winning stuff is offset and negated by higher wages and costs, so there is no financial point in pursuing it. Football glory 0 – 1 Accounting glory.
