“That’s what he’s been doing since he’s come in,” Journalist reveals what Paratici has been up to at Tottenham

By Bruce Grove -

Alasdair Gold has discussed some of the work Fabio Paratici has been doing since he joined Tottenham in the summer.

The workaholic new director of football has overseen some major changes at the club this season.

Several impressive signings have joined and the Lilywhites recently hired Antonio Conte as their manager.

Spurs have not had the best of starts to a season, but the work of Paratici has been obvious to observers.

Gold reveals the club gave the Italian permission to change everything he thought needed to be improved on the football side of things when he joined.

He said, on his YouTube channel: “What I am led to believe is that Paratici, one of the things he came in as managing director of football, he was told, ‘look, just go through the whole football side of the club, and absolutely do what you want, essentially, to all the departments, overhaul them’.

“And that’s what he’s been doing since he’s come in, apparently. He’s been absolutely going through them all and looking at doing real appraisals of their entire department and working out what needs to be more efficient, what needs to be improved, what they’re doing wrong.”

The Boy Hotspur Says

Paratici’s track record at Juventus means he is experienced enough to make the right football decisions at Tottenham.

Some players he signed in the summer struggled under Nuno Espirito Santo.

However, Antonio Conte is a more accomplished manager and the former Chelsea gaffer should get the best out of them.

Fans will hope Paratici has the resources to make the signings Conte needs to win trophies at the Tottenham Stadium.
