“Terrible – appalling” “Ball watching” So Much Negative Fan Reaction, But In This Instance, It Appears Well Deserved| video

By The Boy -

Eric Dier is doing pretty well in the footballing scheme of things. Whilst heā€™s extraordinarily frustrating on many levels as a player, Iā€™ve yet to have sight of an #EricDier hashtag. So thatā€™s a plus, eh?

This post-Leeds interview is unedifying at best. We can only bring you a fraction of the fan venom it provoked. It was in my view a bizarre decision to send Dier in, but then he does have some form for making bad decisions.

I have no idea, Jose kept picking him too. The new contract he signed about 12 months ago mufti have something to do with it? Sanchez and Rodon keep putting dog poo in the gaffer’s trainers? Who knows…

Sad but true. Coupled with what they are seeing at the top, itā€™s a recipe for the crap we witnessed again today.

Just saw Aurier slowly walking back from the opposition half as all hell breaks out in front of him and Bale doing the same thing leaving Aurier hanging out to dry.

A professional in any walk of life will have standards he won’t drop below, he’ll have pride in his profession or trade. I named Aurier and Bale but I could have picked another five or six. Really, really sad.

It’s astonishing and tells you everything about the way the club is run., huge credit to Burnley a brilliantly run club.

I loved Dawson as well. Gave everything. The fact Levy dinged him on a testimonial say everything about the tossers running the club. Love Spurs and detest ENIC.

No leaders of Dave MacKay, Steve Perryman, Garry Mabbutt and Graham Roberts ilk plus lesser mortal 9 yr Spurs servant warrior Michael Dawson who always gave all to the team and IMO was unfairly denied a testimonial!!

I’m fed up with platitudes from mediocre players pretending to be good. Today was an insult to those that can even be bothered to watch. The money these frauds make is disgusting to the effort they make. I enjoyed it once.

Very little pride in this group. Much of that stems from how the club is run, IMO.

Losing playing with passion and pride is one thing but the manner of this woeful defeat and other meek surrenders this season are totally unacceptable!!

He now knows that his antics and pure selfishness cost the team and another manager. No sympathy.

As a central defender you are probably right. Iā€™m not sure what Dier is good at anymore, he was a very good anchorman or defensive midfielder a couple of years ago. Heā€™s not a top central defender, thatā€™s becoming obvious.

This is a collective issue, sure we could definitely do with some additions but digging out individuals is getting tiresome. Nobodyā€™s covered themselves in glory this season with the exception of Kane, PEH and Sonny at different times. As a team we have.generally stunk, and unfortunately football is a team sport…

After Levy imposing Ā£60 ticket prices for fans on the last home game,I just read that Burnley are to allow 3500 fans in for FREE in their last home game.Who would have thought Levy could be outdone.

Thats why I would make Rodon captain. Cash in on Lloris.
Recruit Sam Johnstone. Acquire better full backs. Acquire another centre back to partner Rodon. Get rid of Lo Celso,
Ndombele, Moura,Lamela and Bergy utilising the funds to better effect for starters!!

The whole back line has deteriorated, some of it is fitness, some of it is to many games to quickly at the start of the season. But defenisve players inc GK are the purchase that lift sides into the winning position.

I feel sorry for Dier, he isn’t really a defender imo but for him to get the blame for everything is typical spurs fans. Once again a slight improvement in opposition, intensity and work rate just showed Dele’s and Bales quality. Once again couldn’t be bothered to track back and defend which ultimately led to the goals but oh no its Dier’s fault. Shoddy work from Reg, Tobi got lost on occasion and always shocking from Aurier but oh no its Dier’s fault. Guess what peeps Jose has gone so who can be the fall guy now, which person can we lay all the blame at. I know for the last 2 weeks it was Jose’s fault as it was a hangover from his style but you cant blame him now that Mason has brought back his best friends sacrificing quality players like Ndombele and Lucas, so who is the scapegoat now. Oh its Dier !!! Hoddle I believe stated it earlier The Spurs team today ONLY wanted to play when they have the ball. A huge part of the game and possibly just as important is what you do when you don’t have the ball either defending or attacking.
This just highlighted why Jose didn’t play Bale or Dele against good sides and this was evident even against Leeds. They are only good when we are playing poor teams and we have most of the ball because its all about attacking and not defending. As soon as the opponent improves they go missing and yet spurs fans kiss the ground they walk on. But don’t worry Dier will take the blame. He must be fed up with Spurs fans. Its strange isn’t it Spurs fans slated Walker he went to Man City and is arguably the best right back in Europe, Spurs fans slated Trippier and he left, guess what, he is one of the best right backs in Europe. I kind of think that just sums up spurs fans treatment of players. Maybe its the spurs fans constant moaning and slating that effects their performance. Jose wasn’t wrong about the problem with this squad, like him or hate him he was bang on, as was Poch. Levy and friends bring all this on themselves but dont worry for a bit longer ITS DIER’S FAULT LOL I would love to see Dier, Pierre, Lucas and Ndombele go to Roma and rip the league up

Eric Dier by name and nature really is the gift that keeps on giving. His best gift would be to leave Spurs and take the rest of the deadwood with him.

Aurier, Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Sanchez, Nā€™Dombele would be a good start …

Groundhog Day again.
Hes is giving us what weā€™ve seen for years, you know heā€™s going to give an error away at least once a match. We have others do it as well.
And weā€™ve had players doing it consistently for years though, from Kyle Walker to Bobby Mimms.
Thatā€™s a deeper issue, but we seem to attract them and not give them a hard time either.
spurs fans a generous lot, but it is costing us.
