Teddy Sheringham has urged Manchester United to open their cheque book and splash the cash to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.
Kane has been interesting the Red Devils for a long time now and as he ponders his future in the summer, they might feel now is the time to try to convince him about moving.
Spurs looked set to start winning trophies when they made Jose Mourinho their last manager, but they have been forced to fire him after the team underperformed.
They are now looking for a new manager but time is running out for Kane to win team honours.
Former Spurs man, Sheringham does not doubt that Kane is the best striker in the world and says he is even better than Erling Haaland.
He says, he’d advise United to sign the England captain if they can and concedes that Tottenham fans will not like the idea, but it’s a fact that Kane is a top player that is targeted by big teams.
‘You’re talking about Harry Kane. He is the top number nine in the world for me,’ Sheringham says as quoted by Daily Mail.
‘People talk about Haaland who is a very good youngster coming through with unbelievable promise, but Harry Kane is the best number nine in the world.
‘From a Manchester United point of view, if you can get him, then go get him. Tottenham supporters won’t want to hear that, but they’ve heard it for the last three years – Harry Kane is a big-money player, he’s the best and everybody wants him.’
Maybe that’s because he won nothing with us.
Would he pass a medical?
kane Would improve Utd, but I don’t think he makes them winners of the league or cl like the van Persie move did for Ferguson. The are more issues in that squad.
He has no love for Spurs, met him a couple of times, he’s Manure and Spam that’s it
