Teddy Sheringham Believes He Knows What Harry Kane’s Plan Is

By The Boy -

They create so many chances, they play the game the right way, and they wear teams down, they need someone to just finish teams off, and he’d be perfect for them.

I don’t want to see him go, because of my connection to Tottenham, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. It’s a long way for Tottenham to get back to where Harry wants them to be, so I think it’s inevitable that he’s going to be leaving them this summer.

I still think that if we go all the way in this tournament, Harry Kane can still win the Golden Boot, for me. If we score early on Saturday, the game opens up, and we could go on and score two, three, or even four goals. And he might get a couple himself.

Then you go into the semi-final, if he gets a goal, all of a sudden he’s right up there near the top of the scoring charts.
The way Harry plays, how dynamic he is, and how focused he is, he’s an unbelievable player.

He’s probably the best number nine in the world at the moment, and has been for the last three years. That goal against Germany will have done wonders for him, I promise you.
Without a doubt, for him to come out and say what he said a month ago, I think Harry’s gone.

He’ll leave Tottenham this summer; he’s already left in his mind. In this day and age, you’d imagine he knows something.

When I left Tottenham, I didn’t know anything about the situation at first. I knew that clubs were looking at me, but I didn’t know where I was going to go. I was lucky that Eric Cantona had left Manchester United and there was a space there for me; that was just good timing.

I think that Harry Kane knows he’s going to Manchester City.
They have got a lot of backing, a fantastic manager, some great players, and Kane’s even said he’d like to play with Kevin De Bruyne.

He couldn’t make it any more obvious. He’s got to be joining them, and if he does, well it’s just the icing on the cake for that team.

It’s going to be a long, dreary season if Kane goes, and that’s no bad reflection on Nuno but rather the arch villain and Spurs destroyer Levy. He couldn’t have done much more to screw us all over if he tried. The man is an obscene and grotesque caricature of a football chairman.
Son is not going to be able to fill the Kane sized gap on his own and Vinicious is nothing more than a Levy punt. As for replacing his assists as well as his goals I’ve got no idea. It’s going to cost us a heck of a lot of points next season if Levy refuses to invest in players. Mid table mediocrity at best. Levy you are a plum.

THE APPOINTMENT OF MR SANTO SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN MET WITH REAL INDIFFERENCE , YOU STILL WONDER WHO IS HE ? WHATS HIS FOOTBALL MENTALITY/PHILOSOPHY ?
WELL , WE’RE GONNA FIND OUT AND MAYBE THATS A GOOD THING … ALL PREVIOUS MANAGEMENT HAVE HAD A TRUMPETED ARRIVAL [MAYBE POCH THE EXCEPTION] BUT LET HIM SETTLE IN AND SIFT HIS RESULTS . I THINK WE ALL WANT OUR SPURS TO PLAY A CERTAIN WAY , TO WIN WITH STYLE.
UNFORTUNATELY THAT TYPE OF SUCCESS IS ONLY ACHIEVED BY THE GREATS , THE REAL’S , BARCA’S , BAYERN’S OR UNITED’S.. AND THEY HAVE SERVED THEIR TIME .
SPURS ARE STILL IN THE APPRENTICESHIP STAGE AND MAYBE ‘NUNO’ CAN BE THE CATALYST FOR OUR ELEVATION TO THE UPPER ECHELONS ===== CAN WE GIVE HIM HIS CHANCE [ AND A FEW QUID ] AND HOPE HE IS THE BEGINNING OF A GRAND ERA . SPARE THE PESSIMISM FOR A FEW MONTHS AT LEAST , YEAH ??

I cant disagree – but I really do think people will see that already, from 2 windows with no transfers, sacking our best manager in 2 decades, then sacking his replacement (one of the most winning coaches in history) the eve of a final after giving him next to no investment. We have always sold our top talent. Kane, sadly, is a luxury. He is the same as owning an 80k range rover and living in a council flat worth £80k. That money, the money he is worth, is needed way too much to fill all the holes in the rest of the squad.

You actually missed one other point – when Kane goes it will seriously expose how poor we are. Dont just think of his goals, or assists. Think of the threat he carries, how teams shape to stop him offering gaps to others. Without him, we will not just look average, but teams will have no fear to come at us.

If (or when) Kane goes, there are two things to deal with – the first is that we will probably need two players (a striker and AM) just to cover what Kane brought in assists and goals scored.

The second is that Kane going will show to the entire world (or the few people who still haven’t cottoned on) that Spurs aren’t an authentic footballing operation at all. He’s been synonymous with Spurs, “one of our own”, England captain and he always said he would stay as long as we were on the right track (i.e. serious about winning things). Which we aren’t, and so he will go.

The damage to both brand and team will be enormous.

From the words coming out of the mouths of Nuno and Levy,I fear we are stuck with the same squad pretty much for next season.I see little if any transfer business being done.I suspect Levy has convinced Santo he can get a tune out of our ‘wonderful players’.

If that were to happen it would have been disgusting that they could have had that attitude to have brought about the sacking of the manager again.

It will be interesting to see which of our academy starlets make it into the squad this season. Some going out on loan might be the only business we do.

I wish Santo well, but don’t see him pulling up any trees.

Kane has spent the last four or five seasons of his career propping up Levy’s capital asset grab. Now he deserves something back, meanwhile the club’s fans are left with nothing but another 22 years of mediocrity…

Levy has a not so simple job here – get the sale done fast, for as much money as possible. Losing Kane we will lose at least 15points maybe more in a season. We have no striker at the club to tide us over and our creativity is dreadful. We need at least £150m to buy a decent striker and creative player, then more investment to cover the defence. If Levy does a typical Levy, this business cant be done on last week of the season as the level of player we need cant be bought that late as selling clubs are not that stupid anymore.
