Struggling Tottenham star could be in FIFA hot water over comments reckons former referee

By Bruce Grove -

Matt Doherty might face a FIFA charge after appearing to suggest that Portugal was helped to earn all the points against his country in their World Cup qualifier recently.

The Republic of Ireland raced into a 1-0 lead at the home of the Euro 2016 winners and they held on to that lead until the 89th minute when Cristiano Ronaldo scored an equaliser.

The Manchester United man scored yet another goal in added time to break Irish hearts and turn the game on its head.

Most Ireland fans would have been dreaming of their country earning a famous win as that game went on, but it wasn’t to be and Doherty felt the Portuguese may have been given a helping hand.

As reported by RTE, he claimed that something didn’t feel right as the game progressed and their host would probably have been given a chance to get something from the match if Ronaldo had not stepped up to score.

Former Premier League referee, Keith Hackett says his words could land him in trouble.

“There’s no doubt that he is questioning the integrity of the referee,” Hackett told Football Insider.

“As the authorities, I would ask for the player’s observations to determine whether or not he’s going to be charged.

“At the same time, I think the authorities might just want to look. I would never question the integrity of the referee but you can question the competence.

“This is where the player has made the mistake. You get referees who have off games like players do. Don’t question his integrity, question his competence.

“He can say ‘I thought the referee had an indifferent game’. There are ways of getting that message across rather than questioning the integrity of the match official.”

I blame the government. They should know better and put their people first instead of pound notes. Can’t blame Joe for exploiting the corrupt. Massive dough gonna be made and Joe’s the one gonna make it. For Joe’s objectives to be reached the only way to go about it is the way that he is. Dutty and ruthlessly. Its the only way. Dark moves. It takes a certain kinda guy to operate on them levels. Badman joes that guy. Joe’s even got Jewish army man on the firm chilling there. Untouchable that place is gonna be one day with the Falklands only 20 miles away. That airport he built no one knows who comes and goes. Quite brilliant actually
You can’t deny Joe Lewis has done very well for himself. Along with all his other stuff he Owns the most valuable club in London having not invested any of his own money in it. From £25 mil to £2 billion. Like it or not its quite brilliant.

I’ve pointed this out before as has Marbellaspur,I believe, amongst others.Lewis is a despicable man and typically uses all his wealth to crush any resistence to his plans. He is as guilty as the Argentine government, him for making the bribes and them for accepting them.

Patagonia will be his home once he rides off into the sunset after selling Spurs and nobody will be able to touch him.Power corrupts and absolute power corruptts absolutely.

That’s not a bad return from serge actually. He wasn’t good enough to be first choice right back I know. He was good enough as a squad player though in my opinion. Very much liked at Hotspur way he was

Serge had 5 goals and 12 assists. Matt is currently on 0 and 4. But Matt hasn’t had the same run in the team as Serge, for 2 maybe 3 seasons Serge had no competition in his position.

Yes I know serge had it in him to “drop a bo77ock but at the same time he created many goal scoring opportunities too. I doubt matt will get as many assists as serge did. Time will tell though

Nah. Matt had a good run during the international break and played against Portugal and again tonight against Serbia. Matt is definitely the better player.

Joe lewis in argintina (patigonia) I know a bit about it as in the whole Jewish state thing for American Jews ect but I didn’t realise the scale of it. Joe Lewis is a ruthless badman who exploits. I blame the argintian government not him. He’s going on with total fuckry out there. The corrupt government and press are in his pocket. I’m scared of Joe. Dangerous man

Portugal have history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apito_Dourado. It was same year Porto won the Champions League although no-one put 2+2 together to make 4.
