Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester City in match day 9 of the Premier League on Saturday 21st November, 5:30pm at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The hosts currently sit in 2nd place in the table having beaten West Bromwich Albion 0-1 last time out, while the visitors are in 10th after their 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
This will be the 24th meeting in all competitions between Spurs boss José Mourinho and Man City’s Pep Guardiola – Mourinho’s 10 defeats in these games is more than he’s suffered against any other manager, while Guardiola has only beaten Manuel Pellegrini more often (12).
Following their opening weekend defeat against Everton, Tottenham are now on the longest current unbeaten run in the Premier League (7 – W5 D2). Spurs are looking to win four consecutive league games for the first time since February 2019 under Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham have won both of their meetings with Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in all competitions, last winning three home games in a row against the Citizens between 2005-2009 (a run of 6).
Tottenham won this exact fixture 2-0 last season, ending a run of six Premier League games without a win against Manchester City (D2 L4).
Bergwijn supposedly because he’s fresh, hope he does well, Bale certain to come on at some stage.
Is this the live match post?
How can Dele Alli be dropped if he didn’t play in the last game ? 🤔As expected LoCelso not trusted to start ahead of Sissoko.
Gonna be a tough test but we have enough ,playing attacking full backs so looks like it will be a decent game to watch. So nice having a bench with le celso ,bale and vinny to help out.
A few dodgy ones in there on current form – Aurier, Stevie B, Sissy.
Hopefully it clicks.
If not – at least the bench is strong 😉
