Spurs want one of three English goalkeepers to replace Lloris

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham has started planning for life without Hugo Lloris, who could leave them this summer and his replacement might come from the Premier League.

The World Cup winner has just a year left on his current deal and he has continued to be linked with a return to France.

PSG, now managed by Mauricio Pochettino, has made him a target and the Lilywhites might cash in on him.

They can choose from goalkeepers across Europe to replace him, but Sun Sports says they might sign a new one closer to home.

The report claims the Lilywhites are targeting a move for one of Dean Henderson, Nick Pope and Sam Johnstone.

The trio are currently in the England national team camp for the latest international matches and they are considered three of the best in the country.

Henderson has been a long-term target for Spurs, but he has just earned the starting place in Manchester United’s goal and the Red Devils might not want to sell him.

Although Johnstone is playing for struggling West Brom, he has made the most saves by any goalkeeper in the Premier League this season.

The report says Pope and Johnstone will be easier for Spurs to sign considering that they play for smaller teams.
