Spurs Transfer Off as Premier League club ‘do not want to sell’

Another day in the heady world of Tottenham transfer business, and at last we are beginning to see some movement in discussions, even if nobody’s been pictured holding up a shirt, just quite yet. Earlier today, we brought you the news that talks are on once again between Crystal Palace and Spurs in respect of Eze, who would surely be a must-buy for the North London side, after losing so many crucial players this summer.

Some deals still have a flicker of life in them

A source from TheBoyHotspur understands that these discussions are thought to have occurred last Thursday. Thomas Frank wants a 10 and has always been on board with signing Eze, despite some mumblings to the contrary.

It’s difficult to work out what will be worse, the retirement of Sonny to the MLS or the injury to James Maddison. Also, Dejan Kulusevski and Destiny Udogie aren’t fully fit yet.

Jack Pitt-Brooke now tells us that talk of Savinho to N17 looks like fantasy, the reported wrote for The Athletic’s Transfer Deal Sheet:

Spurs have approached Manchester City about signing Brazilian winger Savinho, discussing a package of roughly €50m for his signing. City, however, said that they do not want to sell Savinho and regard the matter as closed.

What is Johan Lange up to?

Whilst never an entirely convincing suggestion in the first instance, this perhaps might refocus Johan Lange’s mind on getting a meaningful deal over the line.

This morning, another target, Jack Grealish, was reported as being on his way to Everton, and according to Fabrizio Romano, that deal could be wrapped up in the next 24 hours.

Time is running out.
