Spurs to make another move for Scotland’s under21 star as he continues in fine form

By Bruce Grove -

Kyle Joseph rejected a move to Tottenham in the summer, and he has continued to progress very well at Wigan.

With his current team facing administration at the start of this season, Spurs made a £150,000 offer for the Scot, but he turned them down and has remained with the League One side.

He would have known that playing more regularly was more achievable with the Latics than with Tottenham, and that has proven to be true as he has played 11 league games for them this season.

Spurs signed his former teammate Alfie Devine in that transfer window, and the midfielder has been enjoying life in London.

Joseph also rejected an offer from Sheffield United to make the step up to the Premier League, but Spurs are set to tempt him yet again, according to Sun Sports.

The report says that the Lilywhites hope that he would have been impressed by the progress that has been made by Devine and agree to join them this time.

Tottenham is looking to end their wait for a trophy this season, but the club has also been looking to improve their youth ranks too.

Joseph will struggle to play for Spurs if he joins but if he develops well, he might break into the first team faster than he thinks.
