Spurs target misses another game, maybe he will make the move across London

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger as they continue to be active in this transfer window (SkySports).

The Lilywhites have had a busy summer transfer window, but they still want to sign a striker and a defender.

Milan Skriniar has been their top defender target in this transfer window, but it seems that they might miss out on the Inter Milan centre back.

Rudiger has lost his place in the Chelsea starting XI this season and it seems that the former Roma man might be leaving Stamford Bridge.

He has emerged as an alternative target to Spurs and Frank Lampard’s latest action might be pushing him closer to a move to Spurs.

The Blues faced Spurs in the Carabao Cup last night and that game presented the former Chelsea midfielder with the chance to change his team and bring in some players who haven’t had so much playing time.

The Englishman still omitted Rudiger from his line up. The German didn’t start the game neither was he named on the bench in a game that the Blues would eventually lose on penalties to Jose Mourinho’s side.

Spurs want him on loan for the rest of the season and it will be interesting to see how that works out now.

Isn’t this the race baiter that caused a stink at the new stadium when he reckoned he heard monkey chants that nobody else did? No thanks.

If John Terry or Reo Ferdinand or Ledley King had said that I would have more respect ,😂but Jimmy knows as much about defending as Frank Lampard.

Jimmy Floyd Hassle named him as ‘Chelsea’s best centre half’ the other night, do we not think he knows what he’s talking about?

He showed last season he’s not the best defender, mistakes galore thats why Chelsea want rid of him.He was part of a Chelsea defence that let in more goals than in the 22 previous seasons I understand not all his fault. They are one of the worst teams for letting in goals from set pieces & corners no organisation One clean sheet in 19 away games. Arsenal take Chelsea’s deadwood now not Spurs. We don’t need back up centrehalf’s,like Rudiger (average at best )we want a CH better than the current ones.

In my eyes it would show him as a man to be willing to face that on his 1st day in, & also a guy who will do anything to win,
He’s a German international & a winner.
We all have faults but he is a very decent defender which is what your alluding to.
I’m sure Son would forgive him the red card acting.

But let’s hope we get Skriniar anyway, but he’s not a bad back up for Jose to work with.

You will see that things have changed, Rudiger saying he wants to stay in London gives them little choice.
They either keep him & play him, which they might do [a la Giroud last season, when he was really coming if they didn’t play him].
Or they have to let him come over [if they really don’t rate him as a defender].
He is their best defender, Lamps knows it, but he has probably told Lamps some home truths he didn’t want to hear about their defence, which had seem Lamps cut off his sizable nose…..].

So does he do a 360° Giroud?

I think if it’s 2 strikers it’ll be Vinícius before 5th Oct.

Then Josh King after 5th Oct.
[Another 3 week window for Prem to deals with leagues below].
King is hopefully our back up or extra if Jose wants him I guess [younger & alot more mobile than Deeney, pacey even] .

It is highly implausible that Abramovic would sanction ANY transfer that would benefit Spurs, let alone one that would have such considerable potential to embarrass Chelsea and expose the limitations and judgment of his own tyro manager.

In addition to which, from a Spurs perspective, soliciting the services of a playacting cheat, who gratuitously slandered the whole Spurs fan base, with his baseless racist accusation, would go down about as well as hiring Sol Campbell!

Given that the Chelsea Board are refusing to do any biz with Spurs an absolute non starter fanciful in it’s extreme!
