Spurs star sends a message to summer signing who ‘has a lot to learn’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur paid big money for Richarlison during the summer transfer window and the 25-year-old has had a bright start to life at the London club.

Although he has made just one start in the Premier League for Spurs, he has impressed thoroughly with his cameos.

Richarlison produced an effective cameo against Chelsea and Nottingham Forest before making his first start against Fulham.

The former Everton ace managed to set up a goal for his teammate and he was unlucky to have a goal ruled out for offside against the Cottagers.

Richarlison will be looking to build on his impressive start and establish himself as a regular starter for Antonio Conte’s side over the coming weeks.

Tottenham teammate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has now reflected on the Brazilian’s start to life at Spurs and he believes that the 25-year-old is an excellent player with a fantastic mindset.

However, the Danish midfielder added that he needs to keep improving and he has a lot to learn.

“Richy is amazing, I am happy he is playing for Spurs,” Hojbjerg said. “Fantastic boy, fantastic mindset, crazy but in a good way. He really deserves what comes his way, but he has to stay focused and concentrated. But well done to him.

“The way he goes around with the ball, his positioning. I’m gutted he didn’t get the goal in the end but it doesn’t take anything away from his performance. He has a lot to learn. We’re happy to have him, but he needs to keep improving.”

At 25, Richarlison is far from the finished product but he has proven himself in the Premier League over the years.

There is no doubt that he adds a new dimension to the Tottenham attack and if Conte can add more end product to his game, Spurs could have a future star on their hands.

What is the finished product …sideways and backwards …I hope not.
