Spurs star was ‘offered weeks ago’ as Spurs look to trim the squad before new signings

Sergio Reguilon has reportedly been offered to Barcelona on loan as Conte continues his squad overhaul.

Spurs have already signed 6 players this transfer window and Conte is looking to add a few more but has been told to trim his squad first. According to various reports, the club are looking to offload at least 8 players with the likes of Tangangay, Ndombele, and Doherty all linked with a summer exit.

Amongst those is also Sergio Reguilon and according to reports in Spain, Spurs have upped their efforts to offload him. According to Mundo Deportivo journalist Ferran Martinez, the former Madrid player has been offered to Barcelona on loan by Spurs. And cash-strapped Barcelona are said to be seriously considering the offer since it’s a low-cost option for a position they are actively looking to strengthen. Although, Marcos Alonso remains their first priority.

Mundo Deportivo tweeted (translated in English): “As MD has learned, Reguilón could be the alternative if Marcos Alonso does not arrive. The player was already offered weeks ago and Barça would have received new calls raising the possibility of a transfer.

Ferran Martinez also claimed that Sergio Reguilon’s agent Kia Joorabchian was in Miami yesterday meeting with Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff.

Sergio Reguilon made 31 appearances for Spurs last season in a campaign interrupted by injuries. His position came under threat towards the end of the season by Ryan Sessegnon who enjoyed an excellent stint down the left in his absence. And with Conte bringing in Ivan Perisic this summer, he could find himself further down the pecking order.

It looks like an awful miss when you first watch it.. But watch it again he had little to no time to react. The ball fired from under the keeper only two or three yards away from him.
Unless Everton make some decent signings then no doubt they’ll be up against relegation again.
