Spurs set to struggle to find transfer suitors for misfit

By Mark Brus -

Tottenham are expected to struggle to find transfer suitors for Tanguy Ndombele after his struggles in his time in north London.

The France international looked a huge prospect in his time at Lyon, and it was quite exciting when Spurs beat a number of other top clubs to his signature back in the summer of 2019.

Now, however, Ndombele looks like he could be on the way out of the club – if they can find a buyer, that is!

Spurs expert John Wenham told Football Insider he had his doubts about Tottenham being able to offload Ndombele at the moment after his stock has fallen so dramatically.

“Tottenham are really going to struggle to sell Ndombele,” Wenham said.

“No manager knows what they will get from him, that’ another problem. It’s that inconsistency.

“Just look, Sissoko left the club in the summer and everyone was pretty much happy with that.

“Out of Ndombele and Sissoko, which one is getting in the national side? Sissoko.

“We know what we are going to get from Sissoko, he works hard. He covers from one end of the pitch to the other.

“I don’t want to bash on the guy too hard but when clubs would rather sign Sissoko, what can you do?”
