Spurs set to hold talks over signing Bundesliga forward
By Bruce Grove -

Stuttgart’s Nicolas Gonzalez is interesting Tottenham, according to reports.

The Argentinean was one of their key players when they played in Germany’s second division last season.

His 17 goals and assists in their 2. Bundesliga campaign helped them get promotion to the Bundesliga this season.

He has continued his fine form in the top flight with 5 goals and 2 assists from 10 league games.

Spurs have had one of their finest starts to a season in recent memory, and they look likely to end this campaign with a trophy.

But they know that they need all the firepower that they can get to successfully keep challenging for silverware in different competitions this season.

The Athletic says that they have held a conversation about signing Gonzalez recently.

They are not the only European side looking to land him with Juventus and Leeds United also mentioned.

Juve will have to get rid of Federico Bernardeschi before they can move for him, while Leeds failed to sign him in the summer.

The 22-year-old will continue getting better, and it remains unclear if Spurs will make their move for him this month. If they do, they will know that it will take around £23million to sign him from the Germans.

He’s a good age and the money is reasonable if they think he is prem quality

Aye I’m all for any decent player who will improve us.. But why are we being linked with all these strikers? Do we have the money? What about Vinicius? Now he is here he should be playing. Give him a chance I say now he’s here.. If we sign another unproven lad (unproven at prem level) then I would be raising eyebrows at our scouts and system.

Perhaps they dont rate Vinny or are looking for a cheaper option..I personally would play him more but he’s finding minutes in the league hard to come by.

Every player not named Zlantan struggles a bit coming to the EPL. The standards is one year B4 the jury convenienes. Vinicius looks like a once he gets the language and games he will be ok second year. The asking price is about £27m. So are will to get a lower prices, no talenr drop off, but the incoming will fall the proverbial first year behind. Look at Chelsea and the $200m invested in this term.

We better sign this Zlantan guy then? If you mean Ibra then he did ok but he was half the player he was at 36 and 37 years old at Manure… Its about spending wisely on what you need. Good scouting. The chavs have bought some good players but they are still in transition like us. Losing Costa and Hazard and others they had to spend to get back to where they were. Werner was a good buy. Not sure about the rest though.

If they don’t rate him then poor scouting.. We waited years for another striker.
