Spurs scouts assessing Ligue 1 wonderkid ahead of potential transfer

By Mark Brus -

Tottenham scouts are reportedly keeping a close eye on the performances of Metz wonderkid Boubacar Traore.

The talented 20-year-old is the latest player based in Ligue 1 to catch Spurs’ eye, with Pape Matar Sarr already set to join the club next season, according to the Sun.

Traore looks like he could be another talent worth investing in for Tottenham, who have a decent record when it comes to identifying top young players on the cheap and aiding them in their development.

Of course, things don’t always work out that way, and Tottenham could do well to avoid bringing in another Tanguy Ndombele, who looked an elite prospect in his native France before badly struggling in his time in north London.

Spurs fans will just have to hope the club does its homework here and assesses Traore well before this turns into something more concrete.

Fabio Paratici had a decent transfer record at Juventus but we’re yet to really see the full extent of his expertise at Spurs.

For goodness sake haven’t we learnt what a waste of time and money these so called wonderkids are? Yedlin, Holtby, N’Jie, N’Koudoo, Vinicius, Clarke, Sessegnon, Fernandes etc. the list is endless.
Even if by some miracle they do fulfill their promise in the future sometime, it’s a massive step up to the PL.
We’ve not been successful on any of these so called wonder kids yet. So what is the point of just repeating the same mistakes? That is the definition of insanity which mean the little bald nutter must be involved in this dumb policy.

I no longer look at who Spurs are supposedly looking at. Complete waste of time.
