Tottenham and Leeds United could work out a swap deal involving Joe Rodon and Wilfried Gnonto.
Rodon joined the Championship team on loan in the summer and has been on great form since then.
His performances have earned him the admiration of Leeds fans, and he has become an integral part of the team’s backline.
Alasdair Gold reported two days ago that Leeds are keen on signing the ‘phenomenal’ Welshman on a permanent transfer and that they could even work on speeding up a move to try and get him in January.
At the same time, Tottenham are said to be interested in signing Leeds United’s talented 20-year-old attacker.
According to a recent report from Calciomercato.it, Leeds are looking to secure €30 million for the Italian forward, and Tottenham have shown considerable interest, with the player being highly ‘appreciated’ within the club’s hierarchy.
And now, the Daily Express reports that the two clubs could work up an exchange deal that could see both clubs benefit.
Tottenham are keen on bolstering their attack, specially since star striker Heung-min Son is expected to be unavailable for a month due to the Asian Cup games in January.
The report claims that while several clubs are interested in signing the Italian, Spurs hold an advantage due to Leeds’ interest in Rodon.
And if Leeds will attempt to sign the Welshman on a permanent deal in January, it is possible that the two clubs ‘could make a swap deal’ to ensure a win-win situation for both of them. However, it adds that Leeds could ask for some ‘extra fee’ on top as they value the young forward higher than Rodon.
