Spurs injury update features mostly good news

By Bruce Grove -

Spurs will be facing Royal Antwerp in the Europa League this Thursday as they look to build on their 2-0 win over Arsenal at the weekend.

The Lilywhites are arguably the biggest team in their group, but they were beaten narrowly by the Belgian side in the reverse of this fixture.

This game offers them the chance to show their superiority and Jose Mourinho will hope that his team will respond well.

Most players will be available for the Special One on Thursday, but there will be some absentees too, here is the fitness update on the Tottenham players via Football London.

Tanguy Ndombele missed the north London derby at the weekend due to what should be a minor injury, however, the report claims that he is unlikely to be risked in Thursday’s game. Sunday’s match against Crystal Palace might see him return.

Erik Lamela is also expected to remain out and the report says that he isn’t expected to play for the club in the next few weeks.

Those two are the only injury concerns that Tottenham has and that means that Mourinho can field his best side against the Belgians this week if he chooses to do so.

I have often wondered if his “one footedness” is the cause of these injuries. He seems to do everything with his left foot even tackling from the right side. He gets stuck in and seems sometimes to be off balance. Just a thought but I agree he is missed as his energy alone seems to spark the team at times.

Just when I thought Pammy was going to stay fit and have a good season.. Injured again.. Poor lads been blighted his whole career with us… If he could have stayed fit he would have become a marvellous player. Every time he gets going he’s thwarted.. Shame.
