Tottenham have been mentioned as one of the clubs potentially interested in a transfer deal for West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
The England international has been a top performer for the Baggies down the years, despite the club being up and down from the top flight to the Championship.
Johnstone is attracting interest from Premier League sides at the moment, with Spurs among those, along with Southampton, according to Hampshire Live.
Of course, Tottenham already have the excellent Hugo Lloris as their number one, so it remains to be seen if the club are likely to make Johnstone a priority target for the moment.
Having said that, Lloris is not getting any younger and it might be wise to soon prepare for a long-term successor to the Frenchman.
Spurs could do a lot worse than Johnstone, who is surely going to find his way back to the Premier League before too long.
