Tottenham is set to win the race for highly-rated Barcelona teenager, Ilaix Moriba.
The Guinean-born Spain youth international has refused to sign a new contract with the Spanish club.
He broke onto the scene last season and played almost 20 competitive games under Ronald Koeman.
With just this season left on his current deal, the Catalans have been in talks with his representatives to get him on a new one.
However, the youngster is refusing to sign and they have now banished him from their first team.
He has been training with their B team and even the youth teams have refused to field him for their matches so far.
Mundo Deportivo claims the youngster was in London to hold talks with Tottenham at the weekend.
They have agreed on personal terms with him and all that remains is to agree on a fee with Barcelona before they can complete the deal.
The paper claims that Chelsea also wants to sign him, but he only negotiated with Tottenham when he was in London.
Adding him to their squad will give Spurs more quality in-depth with the midfielder tipped to become one of the top players in Europe in the future.
OK. Sonificent. If you say so. I’m done arguing with people.
Tappa not Tampa!
Tampa – he’s bought a load of punts with sell on value. Potentially. He’s a Levy stooge. Our first team remains the same tired group of players with Son and Kane to carry them. Pathetic.
Has he signed yet? I don’t wanna jinx it. Please please please please make this happen. Fab p is a genius. I love everything he’s done so far. Brilliant brilliant brilliant work.
Another Levy punt to bring in someone with sell-on value. We need some experience to add to the first team.
This could be N’Dombele all over again.Poor attitude and too much money too soon.At 18 why wouldn’t you want to stay and learn your craft at Barca?
The Athletic saying it is all about the money not the pride of playing for the mighty (shitehouse) Barca
He played 20 times for Barcelona last season yet doesn’t want to sign a new deal, and he’s banished from the first team squad. A lot of this doesn’t add up. Is he another risky buy in terms of his attitude?
