“He is free” “…wouldn’t complain” Some Desperate Fans Starting To Sound Like Levy|opinion

By Joe Fish -

Ryan Fraser is the latest transfer link to get fans talking after Football Insider claimed that the Bournemouth winger has admitted to friends of fancying a move to Tottenham.

The 26-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is expected to have plenty of offers from Premier League clubs.

As Football Insider details, Arsenal has been tracking Fraser for over a year, but their sources understand that the Scotland international would prefer a move to Spurs if we come calling.

Fraser has endured a poor campaign at Bournemouth, contributing one goal and four assists in 28 league games, but was much better in 2018-19 with an impressive seven goals and 14 assists.

Nevertheless, if he wasn’t available on a free then he wouldn’t be on our radar. And yet some desperate Spurs fans on Twitter are making excuses for potentially signing a sub-standard player, especially when a proven winner like Willian is also available for nothing in the same position.

REPORT: Tottenham Have Offered Two-Year Deal To Chelsea’s Willian

‘Good two seasons ago’.

‘Wouldn’t really want to sign him but he’s free’.

‘Would be cheaper than the guy we actually want’.

Daniel Levy is starting to wear off on these people.

Ah didn’t realise he was free in the summer. Sorry. Still hes a bang average prem winger for me. Son and sessy are on the left wing where frazer plays. He would be third choice off the bat..brooks is better but are we really targeting all these cherry and saints players?.. With maureen in charge i have been expecting him to lure in some real quality and some world class players…. Ronaldo leaving any team is a blow but Madrid will still be a force in europe for sure looking at their squad it is strong now all round. The fact bale has won four champions leagues in just 7 years proves they have been ‘the main force’ in europe in recent years.. Rodrigo that teen Brazilian striker they got will become an absolute beast goalscorer.. For madrid to stop being a force then more than ronaldo would have to go, bale modric ramos marcello courtouis, they recently spent big on mendy, jovic and hazard. They were only 2 points behind barca at top of la liga when their league stopped. Still a force for sure… Looking at ourselves we can only dream about being such a force..

Spurs wouldn’t be paying big bucks, Fraser would be a free in the Summer. As I wrote though, I’d go for Brooks. Not taking anything away from Real, awesome achievements in the Ch Lg, but since Ronaldo left they have been missing something. That is hardly breaking news. They’ll stay at the top because of their money and the league structure, but they are not the force they were in Europe. Few would have bet against them in the Ch Lg with Ronaldo, but now?

One good season and we shouldnt be paying big bucks, remember David Bentley… Newcastle got done there benitez didnt want him said hes not worth 40. Steve Bruce did that deal. Joelingtons been rubbish… Not sure about pepe yet the jury is still out…. As for ndombele man we got ripped off there…. And going back to real madrid mate they are still a force. 3 champions leagues in a row was the first time ever anyone had won it back to back. Bales been there 7 years now and won 13 major trophies. The stuff of dreams.

For a bit of context, Newcastle paid £40m for Joelinton. Both he and Fraser scored 7 goals in their respective leagues and Joelinton was a centre firework. Only Hazard set up more goals than Fraser by the end of last season. You know the transfer market changes quickly year on year. Arsenal paid around £70m for Pepe. We paid over £60m for Ndombele! I think my valuation was more than fair.

Exactly, how many wingers can you play in a team.We have more pressing requirements throughout the team, but the one thing that will determine who arrives will be whether they are free transfers. That’s the only business Jose will be allowed.Good luck with that.

Liverpool paid 40 mil for salah only the year before that… Noone was ever offering that for frazer.

At the end of the 2018/19 season you’d have quite easily have paid £40m for him. I think he’s done an Eriksen, he knew he was leaving and not put in a shift. I would go for Brooks though. On the opposite side to Son, defences would be terrified and with feet so quick he can do card tricks at the Christmas do. After his injury he’d be cheaper than a year ago, plus if Bournemouth get relegated they’d be desperate to sell him.
