Sky Sports presenter reveals what he saw Daniel Levy doing immediately after the 6-1 defeat

By Mehdi Gokal -

Sky Sports presenter David Jones has revealed what Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy was seen doing immediately after the 6-1 defeat.

The game was a crucial one for Spurs, as a win would have helped them close the gap to a top-four finish, but the result dealt a major blow to their chances.

Newcastle United were able to secure a comfortable win within the first 20 minutes of the game, with Jacob Murphy scoring two goals and Joelinton adding one. Isak added a brace to make it 5-0 just 10 mins later.

Despite Harry Kane’s early goal in the second half, Callum Wilson’s strike cemented the 6-1 defeat for Spurs.

According to Jones, Levy was seen heading straight to the tunnel following the team’s devastating 6-1 defeat to Newcastle United presumably to the Spurs dressing room.

He told Sky Sports via TBR:

“I’ve just watched Daniel Levy walk from the top of the stand up there and go straight down the tunnel. Perhaps going into the Spurs dressing room himself.”

Levy’s apparent disappointment with the team’s performance is hardly surprising.

Spurs have been struggling for some time, and the team’s lack of direction and leadership on the pitch has only made matters worse.

Interim manager Cristian Stellini’s inexperience has been cited as a contributing factor, but the problems run much deeper than that.

There seems to be a lack of direction, the players look clueless, there is no leadership on the pitch – all and all, the club looks in its worst possible state in recent years.

Tottenham’s hopes of securing a Champions League spot are looking increasingly unlikely, which means that the club will face challenges in attracting top-tier managers and players.

The pressure on Levy to find a long-term replacement for former manager Antonio Conte continues to mount, but finding a suitable candidate may prove difficult given the team’s current form.
