José Mourinho’s boys had a bad day at the office, getting thumped in their Serie A clash with Udinese, 4-0.
Our latest signing, Destiny Odogie was at the races again, scoring a fine goal that the Roma defense appeared to sleep through.

It was a quality performance all around from the youngster who managed to hit a very tidy 71% total successful actions, on top of dribbling well and provide a shot assist.

Destiny’s passing accuracy was 88% which, given the offensive nature of his play, is excellent.
More, please.
He looks potentially very exciting. I suspect that he will usurp Sessegnon when he arrives next season. I’ve just watched the compendium of Scarlett’s goals which was interesting as he appears to be two footed, a scarce commodity these days. When you consider at what age these players start being coached, and how much they get paid, why are they not taught to kick a football with both feet? I was just wondering if Haaland uses his right foot for anything else than standing on it? Mind you Messi and Maradona were or are very one footed and they were or are great players, so what do I know?
Very interesting piece on BBC Sport today by Raj Chohan titled Champions League: How Neymar, Mbappe & Messi are finally thriving at PSG. (I won’t post the link because links cause messages here to end up in the moderation bin)
It should be of interest to Spurs fans and those interested in what a Conte-like system can become if provided the right tools for the job. Proper wingbacks like Udogie are an essential element.
Brilliant piece of opportunism from ‘Doggie!’ This boy has some serious athletic ability, skill and footballing smarts. Add that to your other clips of the burgeoning talent that is Dane Scarlett and those are some very bright flashes from potential stars of the future.
Great to see genuine talent, rather than overblown hype.
