“Sell him in the summer and buy Grealish” A Good Few Fans Have Lost Patience With This Spurs Ace

By The Boy -

Dele Alli’s displeasure at being hooked again (this time against Red Bull Leipzig) by José Mourinho was clear for all to see. The 23-year-old has up until now been a firm fan favourite and it was difficult to find supporters who were willing to directly call him out on social media.

It looks as though that tide may be turning. Dele’s performances of late have seen the now former England star looking off the pace and seemingly lacking the focus that separates good players from excellent ones.

Cynics might suggest that Alli’s problem is that he’s run out of excuses. The injuries are behind him, the off-field distractions are behind him (if one ignores the allegedly racist video misdemeanour), and yet he’s incapable of finding his groove.

We’re all aware of the “Dele’s brother” tale, and for a few games, it looked as if the boy was going to flourish under Mourinho.

Losing these fans does not bode well. Time to pull your finger out sunshine, and not to perform some adolescent handshake.

Knee jerk nonsense. Play him in his best position, in a squad that isn’t cobbled together from random bits and bobs, and he’s outstanding. Play him out of position, he still does reasonably well, “fans” reflexively moan. It’s embarrassing, like Gooner TV kind of embarrassing.

Dele is definitely not reaching the levels he was at before his head was filled with the brown stuff, but it appears to be more than just a lack of focus, he has undoubtedly has lost a yard, not just in pace, but in his decision making, missing chances seems to be a habit now too. The frustration he showed is because he thinks he is too good to be taken off, that’s a worry.

He needs to be sold. Tossed out his comfort zone and prove us all wrong. He’s currently on the same career trajectory as Lennon and Huddlestone who were also much loved FAILURES.

The problem with Dele is he is too busy living the high life with football coming a clear second or third in his life. There is definitely some real quality in him but if he doesn’t buck up his ideas he will end up at somewhere like Everton.. No top side is going to spend big money on him with his massive inconsistency.

He’s a spoilt haircut who will never be the player we had once hoped he would be. He should learn to kick a ball with his left foot before throwing a strop when he gets substituted. Sell and repent but sell!

I just wonder how much his heart is in it anymore,he’s nowhere near the player we had 2-3 years ago.Admittedly that applies to most of the team.

For whatever reason he cannot take on a defender and beat him and in the process to seems to confuse the options open to him. Also any defender will know to push him onto his left foot and he’s lost.I’d say he’s best running into space behind defenders, but for that to work he needs service.
His public strops won’t do him any favours.Perhaps he should work closely with Lo Celso and N’Dombele[if he can play for more than 20 minutes] to get the best return.Mourinho has three months to work out how to use him best or not at all.

What a complete stupid idea, buy Grealish yes, great idea but sell Dele? you need your head read. we should have both. The problem is Levy isn’t adventurous enough to have both.

Playing off of Kane is not a position.

The boy needs to learn a role.

He could be the front man whilst we are short up top, play in the box as opposed to playing in ineffective spaces.
