“Ruining his market value for a January sale” Another poor Kane performance has got fans talking

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane was not the saviour that Tottenham fans hoped he would be in their game against Arsenal yesterday.

The England captain has been in poor form in the Premier League this season with no goals scored in the competition so far.

He fired a blank in the north London derby against Arsenal again and some fans now think he is probably doing it deliberately.

Kane had asked the Lilywhites to sell him in the last transfer window and wanted to join Manchester City, but Spurs refused.

It seems he has been affected by that failed transfer and Spurs are suffering for it, considering that he was the Premier League’s top scorer last season.

Spurs’ 3-1 loss to Arsenal yesterday was their third consecutive league defeat and they have scored just once in that run, with Kane failing to find the back of the net.

B/R Football posted these stats on their Twitter account and fans responded to Kane’s form. Here are some reactions:

I hold no brief for Levy, but if City were prepared to pay £135m, they should have offered that.

They didn’t even come close. What they offered was £75m up front in the expectation that Harry would force a move by handing in a transfer request. We would not have got Ings and three or four others for £75m.

As for Winks and Alli, can you point me to when Mourinho said that he wanted to sell them, or indeed that Levy refused his request? More to the point, who would have bought them?

If after the euros Levy issued a statement & said hes 135 mill…. citeh would of paid it… we get Ings in & 3-4 others we’d of been laughing…instead we’ll have a player worth half that… & what of the impact on the brand.. Kane was the face of Tottenham.. who is now? Mourinho wanted to sell winks & alli.. Levy said no… levy should just appoint himself as manager.

Think club wanted £150M city offered £75M I’m sure a compromise would have been reached and everyone would have moved on.

Kane doesn’t want to be here, he’ll just go through the motions which will effect the team

Yeah, right. If Levy had taken the £75m City offered, everybody here would slated him.

This sounds like Charlie Kane logic.

Levy won’t care about any outside ‘market value, he’ll dream up his own

Levy’s biggest failure is how to sell players and when….you make a mistake, take a hit and move on…Dele should of been sold 2 seasons ago…cant see many clubs paying more the 20m for him now…add to the list:
Sess – losing money by the hour
Clark – who cares
Sissoko – 26m loss
Eriksen – 80m, got a bag of beans (not the magic ones)
Oreo – 25m loss
D’Nom – quick, sell him before anyone notices
Winks – bag of crackers, should of sold him 2 seasons ago
Dier – holding on for dear life
Sanchez – probably still get 20m for him
Jan – zero, nada…

bored writing now…

But does that bag of beans make a magic tree that takes you to a golden egg 🤔

Typical when he was scoring last season and setting assist records he was one of our own. He is 28 maybe he wants to be at a club that wins trophies I doubt as a spurs fan you remember what they are. Harry should have been sold in the summer and the blame for this season same as every season when it comes to not winning trophies lies with the chairman and the owner no one else. They sign the checks buy the players, coaches, trainers everything else so they are to blame. Put the right coaches and players in place they will be successful. Try to do it on a badget like spurs have done you win what spurs have won. 0.

How about he is fed up carrying this club that has no ambition to win anything and is purely money driven by the two main leaders. Do you think Harry would want to leave if we were winning things. Show me what spurs have won in the last fifteen years.

Serves Levy right, he has shot himself in the foot, complete plum who should close the door on his way out.

So, we should now sell him to City in January even if they only offer a bag of magic beans? Throw him in the U23’s till he gets over himself.

Always said we should have sold him. You just cannot keep players that do not want to be at the club. That there heart is not in it anymore. I’d rather have a championship League player that loves my club and gives his all than a world class superstar that thinks he is too good to be at the club or whatever other reason he has.
