Romano links Tottenham with a move for exciting Bundesliga defender

Maxence Lacroix has become the latest player to be linked with a move to Tottenham as the Lilywhites look to bolster their squad in this transfer window.

They have just made Nuno Espirito Santo their manager after being without a head coach for almost 80 days.

The Portuguese boss is now working to get his squad in shape before the start of next season.

He has inherited a decent squad that has the likes of Son Heung-min and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg committed to the cause, but they are also in need of new players and they are working towards that.

They have been linked with a move for several players and Fabrizio Romano says they want Lacroix too.

He was speaking about Tottenham targets in his Here We Go podcast and said Tottenham has the 21-year-old on their list of targets.

The tall defender joined Wolfsburg from Sochaux last summer and has quickly become one of the impressive youngsters in the German top flight.

Fabio Paratici is keen to solve Tottenham’s defensive problems and he will now look to pursue a move for the young Frenchman.

However, Foot Mercato says he also has interest from RB Leipzig ahead of the next campaign.

THFC have more links than a chain mail vest. Once again no business being done just the usual pretence of lots of activity. Kounde of Sevilla is apparently a target but has stated we are a “second tier” club. I have to agree with him. That is now the perception of us throughout football. That is how Kane now see’s us. That is why so many potential successful managers have walked away. That is why no world class players will want to join. We have Levy and ENIC to thank for getting us to this situation after 20 years of zero investment in football activities and a generational debt legacy to build a property portfolio. Levy and ENIC have destroyed THFC to recreate an NFL shopping mall
