Romano details the future of Spurs star while Leeds United man becomes the latest target

By Eddie Razo -

The future of Harry Kane is a topic that many are discussing with the season nearing its end and Tottenham Hotspur fighting for the last UEFA Champions League spot. Despite the rumors of last summer, it doesn’t seem like the north London club is ready to go through that again.

Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Spurs don’t plan to let Kane leave this summer. The Italian journalist credits the work that manager Antonio Conte and Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici have done.

Nonetheless, if Tottenham fails to finish in the top four, it will be interesting to see whether the 28-year-old decides to force a move or is content with the direction the squad is heading under Conte.

One of the ways that the club can be heading in the right direction is by spending the funds needed to make significant upgrades to the roster, which is why the Telegraph reports that Spurs are in the mix for Leeds United and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

The report indicates that Conte would be open to a transfer for Phillips, but it is highly questionable whether chairman Daniel Levy would be prepared to offer what Manchester United would put on the table for the 26-year-old since they’re also linked to the midfielder.

Strange time to give him a new long contract.

Skipp has been out for too long for him not to have a complicated injury. I think this is a growing concern…

He is too expensive because he is too good ..I imagine LUFC will be wanting a pretty penny …as I say others will be interested..and as you say ..NDembele has to be got rid of..not so easy ..Kulu and Romero have to be paid for..don’t see it . In fact I don’t see very much if I’m honest..would love to see Royal, Reg ,NDembele LoCelso Gollini , Winks, there are others but if they all go, not easy ,what monies will be achieved .That will determine who we buy.And who coaches the club.

Maybe he will come. Nowhere in the report it said Arsenal are interested 😆 Anyway, unless we move Winks and or Tanguy, in my opinion Hojberg is not looking like a keeper with Skipp longer term deal as well. Too many midfield players by the numbers. The 2 most marketable players are Locelso and Hojberg. FYI, this has nothing to do with PEH quality, but we need a passer and receiver of the ball. Phillips has that in his locker. If you look at Declan Rice game, Phillips plays the same. That will allow us to push Betancur further up in the attack. Something we can not do with relative success with PEH.

Cannot see Phillips leaving Spurs for Leeds..bar more money which many clubs can offer …wants the point…6 year deal and not allowed to leave ..no chance.
