Report – Tottenham weighing up a summer move for Premier League ace who could be available cheaply

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham will look to strengthen their team this summer ahead of winning a trophy under Jose Mourinho next season.

Mourinho became the club’s manager last year, and the Portuguese boss has been trying to get his team to end this season in a European place so that he can compete for the Europa League next season.

He has had to rely on a number of players that were signed by the club’s former managers, but he will no doubt look to add his own players when the transfer window reopens.

The Times is reporting that Mourinho’s quest to improve his team might see the “Special one” raid fellow Premier League side, Leicester City, for the signature of Demarai Gray this summer.

Gray has been an important part of the Foxes squad since he joined them in 2016, however, he has fallen down the pecking order under Brendan Rodgers this season.

Gray has started in just three Premier League appearances this season and as he enters the final year of his current deal with them, he might be on the move.

Spurs are probably hoping that they can take advantage of his contract situation to land Gray for a low fee this summer.

Personally, the idea of us signing a player not deemed good enough for Leicester City does not fill me with excitement.

Chelsea rob all the healthy lads in the South. City, United and Liverpool do the same in the North. The rest fight for scraps.

But why do we produce such weedy looking players? Has Levy cut the calories in the canteen as part of a cost cutting drive?

It’ll take all that time for Levy to get one transfer over the line, even though no other club is in for the player because he’s probably crap.

Would be typical Levy though. It’s time for our illustrious twerp of a leader to stand up and be counted, surely even he can see that his lack of investment has caused the club to miss out on top 4? If he can’t then there’s no hope because the man is lost to reason, will he just go on blaming a string of top managers for his own incompetence? .

Why buy this lad who cant get a regular start at Leicester, IF we are going for serious players it has to be Saint Maximin, if not Brookes who will be available.

That’ll be a first then. The window doesn’t close until October, it’s going to be a long summer /autumn.

As for this article, I cant imagine Levy would pay what it takes for a premier league player unless they are bang average..we may end up in the Championship bin, although saying that, there are a few gems just about to be relegated so Levy needs to act quick…
