Report: Tottenham tracking Lyon’s £32M midfielder to bolster their attack for next season

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur wants to add to scoring depth behind their two talented forwards, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. With UEFA Champions League football on the horizon next season, Spurs need to have more offense to not depend too much on Kane and Son.

Football.London reports that the north London has been tracking Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Lucas Paqueta, a player Newcastle United attempted to sign earlier this year.

Paqueta would bring some versatility to the Tottenham squad considering he can play an attacking midfield role, centrally or on the right, and can also play up front when needed.

This past season, the Brazil international scored 11 goals and recorded seven assists in 44 appearances for Lyon. When it comes to a possible asking price from the Ligue 1 side, Transfermarkt puts his value at £32-million for a player under contract until 2025.

As a result, Lyon isn’t in a rush to sell Paqueta if they don’t get a fee that they feel is suitable to let one of their marquee players from last season go this summer.

Nooooooo, Tintin returning is one step forward, three steps back.. The guy was offered top money to stay repeatedly, he chose to run his contract down and leave. Rats leave a sinking ship.. Even in his prime he frustrated me, pulling top numbers against lesser teams, then he went missing in all the big games. If it was a final or a top team then he’d go missing literally we might as well be 10 men. With the ball he’d fluff his lines, without the ball he’d achieve nothing.
Limerick Al called him a flat track bully early on and this sums him up perfectly.
He would love to come back to us I’m sure. We’re his best option. But he’s not ours.. Maybe some of the players and the Bald one will have influence on this decision, so I could see him returning, but fingers and toes crossed he doesn’t.
I wouldn’t trust him in a final again, nor a title race, not as first choice. He was mentally lightweight. Just my opinion brother.. Like an ex who was alright in the sack, but never quite did it for you, those ones are often best kept in the past.. Up the Yids.

That means he would score 2 goals and 3 assists. Just sign Erikssen and stop pussy footing around. Forget the past and get the best available play maker. I know our fans who have seen us win countless silverware will be complaining, but no one out there now has the tools we need. SARR is on the books we don’t need another project.
