Report: Arsenal, Tottenham have rivaling bids to land Leeds United star

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur will be in the market for a forward this summer to add scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Various players are connected to fill this role in the north London club, and one of them is Leeds United Raphinha.

According to Italian football journalist Gianluigi Longari, Spurs want the 25-year-old and is ready to submit an offer of £50-million plus £10-million in add-ons. Furthermore, this isn’t the only offer on the table for the Brazil international.

The Athletic reports that Arsenal has submitted a bid hoping to land the Leeds United star for next season. Nonetheless, Raphinha has yet to decide where he wants to play in 2022-23, but it might not be in Barcelona.

Longari adds that Barcelona was always the first choice for the winger, but the Spanish side has been unable to reach a deal with the Premier League club; as a result, the door has opened up to other suitors.

So we are back to the old, if it was not done yesterday Levy is involve. Perisic, Bissouma and Foster so far Conte/Paratici 3 Levy 0. No other club has come for these known target or blinked so everyone are playing games. I would not sign Spence until either Royal or Doherty is gone. Athletico has not table an offer to speed up getting a replacement. Richarlison, even though I want him is $15M over priced and the only threat to signed him is Chelsea if they are going to pay $60M. He is not going to Arsenal. Rapahina, I would not touch unless Bergwjin and Moura are gone and at $50M not good business. I still feel Gil can get those minutes now that he knows what it takes to be in the PL. Finally, just take Lenglet on loan and move on. Conte system is solid enough to up this another level and he will be on the first flight.. The price for Torres, Bremer and Bastoni are not going to change because we will be paying the release clauses and if they waffling on leaving lets go already.

Yes my thoughts too, just to be clear he is a M’Boro player, Levy is trying to steal the player in similar circumstances to Joe Rodon.
It’s taking longer than it should and it seems we are the leading the chase, but another club could well offer the proposed fee which leaves us with nowhere to go.

Outstanding player…but seems like a luxury signing. Probably more adaptable forwards to target.

if we get a ‘bonus signing’ this would be the one as Saint-Maximin is a pipe dream.

Never mind about Raphinha, what about Spence if we are really interested.Apparently talks will resume, presumably today,to try to get this deal done.

How can it be so complicated?I know Levy is almost certainly involved, but he wants to come we have a lot to offer and NF know they will have to sell.It should be straightforward, but of course it never is.
