Report: Tottenham Hotspur still view Bryan Gil as part of their future

By Eddie Razo -

The future of Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil continues to be a topic of discussion. The 21-year-old arrived in north London last summer from Sevilla but struggled to find consistency during his time in the Premier League.

During the January transfer window, Spurs decided to loan out Gil to Valencia, but in the agreement, there’s no option or obligation to purchase.

Nonetheless, since his arrival with the Spanish club, he’s made ten appearances in all competitions and has played a role in Valencia reaching the Copa del Rey final. According to the Daily Star, Tottenham is pleased with how Gil is progressing with his time in Spain.

Valencia boss Jose Bordalas has stated that Gil “would be welcome to continue” with the La Liga club next season. Furthermore, an approach has already been made to Spurs about the Spaniard continuing with their squad.

As a result, another loan could fit all parties as the north London club still consider the player as one for the future and are content to be patient with him.

With better or more players around him when he has the ball I can see Gil fitting in..he will have to be a very tenacious lad with strong ligaments hamstrings and sharp elbows to make it work. Maybe he should call Erik Lamela to pick up some superior guidance in the Dark Arts.
