Report: Tottenham eyes to reunite with former midfielder Christian Eriksen

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur could see themselves reuniting with a former player this summer. In January, Christian Eriksen signed for Brentford on a six-month contract, so the 30-year-old will be a free agent this summer.

Eriksen continues to impress with Brentford, scoring one goal and one assist in four appearances. Still, more importantly, the midfielder is showing that he’s healthy after recovering from a cardiac arrest last summer.

According to Daily Mail, Tottenham and Manchester United are among those monitoring him closely. A return to north London wouldn’t be a surprise, considering it’s a club Eriksen is familiar with, knows some of the players on the squad, and his former coach Antonio Conte is also there.

Suppose Eriksen can continue to display his current form. In that case, Spurs could consider rolling the dice on their former player, especially since it would be a free transfer, and it would allow them to allocate funds towards another target this summer.

It would be a free transfer and a great ‘human story’, I’m sure Daniel would be well up for it…

He rarely played for Conte at Inter. This isn’t going to happen

Where would he play in the current formation under Conte?

Not Bale. I don’t think he has the passion for the game anymore, except when playing for Wales.

Yes please.
Would take him & Gareth Bale as FREE squad players, if THFC can dispose of several other current squad members.
(I say squad players as not sure either would/could displace any of our current attacking 3, although how about GB as left wing back?)

I can tell you that Eriksen would never play under Levy again.
