Report: Tottenham eyes Real Sociedad star forward to strengthen their attack

By Eddie Razo -

The forward group is one that Tottenham Hotspur wants to improve and add scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. The north London club eyes bringing in another striker this summer, and various players can fill this need.

According to Football.London, One of the targets now in the mix for the north London side is Real Sociedad’s Swedish striker Alexander Isak. However, landing the 22-year-old would be difficult, considering his contract doesn’t expire until 2026.

Isak would be a purchase betting on his potential, considering he’s one of the bright young players that Sweden hopes to build their next core of national team players. Nonetheless, he won’t be a cheap purchase as Transfermarkt puts his value at £36-million.

Real Sociedad has the leverage to hold onto the young player unless the north London club meets their demands for the young forward. Isak has made 40 appearances, scoring ten goals and recording three assists.

And we have the WC coming up. Maybe we should wait until then, remember we signed Modric after a WC. Let’s not rush into things. Yes Daniel, Yes.

We need straight out of the box, comes with batteries, ready to go quality. The reason for a single minor trophy in 23 years is that we never bring those players in. It’s that simple…

There were still nonsense rumors back then too, it’s probably something to do with the grip social media has taken over everything that partly drives this. People talk mostly baseless, ill informed nonsense on social media and it seems everybody and everything is following suit. Social media is evil, it is NOT “also a source for good” as some might have you believe.

Smoking makes people feel relaxed and they enjoy it despite it killing millions. Social media has the same benefits to ill health balance as the tobacco industry. They also lied about the risks of that, until the science kicked in…

Tbf to isak i think he might be a jam pretty soon player. Worth a punt. Its the wingbacks and centre halves that need to be jam right now players. Champagne and strawberry jam preferably.

Another ‘Jam Tomorrow’ type player. Diaz is the kind of profile player we need to improve this team, yet we failed miserably to sign him. If indeed there was ever any concerted effort to get it over the line.

But hey, “it’s important to be in the race” to sign top players, even if you sign none of them! Remember the Morientes thing? Levy and a ‘delegation’ fly out to Madrid to get it done, but lo and behold it was scuppered by those pesky transfer gremlins that always seem to afflict Levy when trying to sign a high profile target. We are being played by this charlatan and have been for 23 years, and don’t ever forget it…

So agree with you , it is bloody tiresome to read of the dozens and dozens of potential purchases , most of which you’ll read ” sensational” “please God be true” blah di blah , about players a] you’ve never heard of or b] you couldn’t possibly know are any good ……….. It does incense me but that’s what being a football fan involves …..apparently !!!!!!!!11

It feels a bit like the ITK landscape has changed over the last few years doesn’t it. Back when I started reading this blog, probably some 15 years or so ago now :-O it felt like maybe there was a sniff of truth in a good 70% of the rumours.

Nowadays it seems like it is the wild west of nonsense. I would imagine that between now and August we will be linked with 200+ players.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say there is absolutely no way this lad will be playing for Spurs in September, not because he’s too good, or too bad, but mostly because I simply refuse to believe that anyone at the club has made any form of plan or shortlist of “targets” in May!
