“Bryan, stay” was one of the chants heard this past Wednesday as Valencia clinched their ticket to the Copa del Rey final after knocking out Athletic Club.
Since arriving in late January, Tottenham Hotspur loanee Bryan Gil has endeared himself to the supporters. Now the Spanish club wants to figure out a way in keeping Gil, whose loan deal expires at the end of the season.
According to Plaza Deportiva, the future of Gil and where he will continue playing football depends on three men: Gil, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte, and Valencia owner Peter Lim.
The Spanish media outlet reports that Gil is comfortable at Valencia; however, negotiating with Tottenham would be complicated considering that Gil has a high salary and second because Tottenham would demand an additional amount for the player in terms of a loan deal.
If Conte decides that it is not interesting for his project, the amount could be negotiated, although a price would always be set. Also, Lim needs to validate any transfer considering Valencia has little money and many fronts to close this summer.
Unless an injection of money comes, it will be interesting to see how Valencia can find the sums to keep Gil without selling parts of their squad to fund the transfer.
I reckon Gil weighs more than Diaz ..so what’s the problem ..he isn’t what ..good enough ..NOOooooooo.
The boys can sing all they want but Balencia (sic) will never be able to afford him.
Einstein Paratici bought him with a package of around £40m. What would his value be now?
