Report: Sevilla prepared to swoop in and steal Tottenham loanee from Villarreal

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur has seen the stock of midfielder Giovani Lo Celso rise during the 26-year-old’s loan stint with Villarreal. The 26-year-old played a role in The Yellow Submarine reaching the UEFA Champions League semifinals since his arrival in January.

When Spurs offloaded some players during the winter transfer window, the north London club hoped that they would increase their value Lo Celso and Bryan Gil appeared to raise their stock while out on loan.

Villarreal wants to keep Lo Celso past this season, but the Spanish club reportedly has competition for the Argentine. According to Todofichajes, Sevilla is interested in the midfielder, who would fetch a significant fee to improve the squad.

Furthermore, Sevilla and Spurs do have a working relationship; like last summer, the two parties swung a deal for Gil and Erik Lamela, so it’s not far-fetch to consider them as a possible suitor for Lo Celso this summer.

The report states that Spurs value the midfielder at €25-million, but there’s no firm offer yet from Sevilla.

I know its a different category but Southampton has to rank high in transfer sales having moved half their team to Liverpool for big money over these years.

At least we can recover some wedge for the awkward one.
NDonkeybollo now that is a complete waste of money.
Havent seen any reports of “Bayern Munich tracking NDonkey”. Even reports from France are mixed with him back at his spiritual home.
I dont know what the fiscal answer is but I dont want to see the melt ever again at THFC.

We are actually ranked 6th in the league since 2015 for money made from selling academy graduates. Chelsea Liverpool City Arsenal Villa Tottenham Manure… This isn’t great, but it’s not bad either.. The Chavski easily leading the way with the best and most successful academy. The Gooners can argue that though they haven’t produced so many, a few of theirs are and will be a higher level…. We need to worry about local because of the homegrown rule, but there’s nothing wrong with signing foreign talent. It’s about signing shrewd and clever. A good example is Liverpool paying less than Gio for Salah.

No substance with Gio. No end product. No assists or goals in him and his defending is sub par. His market value was 45million when he was 23 years old.. Now he’s 26 and heading in to his prime he’s dropped to 19.8 million.. A frequent sicknote and when he does play he rarely achieves anything.. Pamela was injured a lot but at least when he played he was an actual threat, usually bringing something to the table. Gio brings his haircut. Stop touching, grooming and flicking your hair Gio. Get a skinhead and focus on the football.

Seems like a recurring theme. No one looks like they are suited for PL when playing for the Spurs. So we should recruit local. Our best prospects outside of Dane Scarlett has not played 30 minutes of football combined in the first team. Yeah Go academy!!!

The 25m can cover a lot of TI and LC costs in Enic’s portfolio.

Maybe a deal involving Torres could be done if the interest in him is genuine.

This would suit Levy if a bidding war occurred over the Lo Celso transfer as it could push up the price ,although we are unlikely to recoup the full amount paid.Lo Celso is clearly not suited to the PL.Will Levy take the hit?
