French clubs have felt the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and a television deal that fell through with Mediapro. As a result, the Ligue 1 sides are open to selling critical parts of their squad.
Olympique Lyonnais wants to part ways with Houssem Aouar as Italian football reporter Fabrizio Romano reports that the French club has offered the player to Tottenham.
Aouar is one of the better young French talents, making 173 appearances for Lyon, scoring 32 goals, and registering 32 assists for the Ligue 1 side.
The transfer window expert further details that the London-based club has stated that the 23-year-old is not a priority at the moment as the summer transfer window deadline nears next week.
Furthermore, Romano added that Juventus FC midfielder Weston McKennie is not a priority for the Premier League side. It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham decides to reevaluate and whether they want to pursue Aouar.
