Report: Napoli rejects a mega offer from Arsenal for Tottenham transfer target

By Eddie Razo -

Victor Osimhen will draw a lot of interest from clubs following a successful individual 2021-22 season for Napoli. Recently, Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly linked to the 23-year-old ahead of what should be a busy summer to improve the squad.

Spurs aren’t the only club eyeing the Osimhen; their north London rivals are also keen on adding the Nigeria international. However, Calciomercato reports that Arsenal has offered Napoli €90-million for the striker.

Nonetheless, Napoli has refused the offer, and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis believes that Osimhen is worth at least €110-million, wanting a monstrous figure to part ways.

It will be interesting to see if Napoli wants a price that reaches triple digits and will see Tottenham look elsewhere when it comes to finding a forward that can provide some scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Spurs have many other needs, and committing that amount would be even too much now. Should the price lower, then the north London club might reevaluate a pursuit for Osimhen, who scored 18 goals and recorded six assists in 32 appearances this season.

Haaland cost £70 million so that figure for Osihmen is a joke. The only striker worth that might be Mbappe and even that is a stretch.

Winners are not that expensive. He has not won anything and folks want to say it is not worth it to go after Gabriel Jesus. Jesus is capable of playing as a lone striker, drift right or as a number 10. He would be my second choice, but the real deal will be Laurtaro Martinez. I know Conte would not hesitate to pair him with Kane and or Son, he is that good. And furthermore when are we going to cut Kane minutes down to the 80 plus. He can’t continue to play 90 minutes game after game.

Me agrees whole heatedly, when you consider the cost of kulusevski and bentancur were at fraction of that! Buying wisely and building a good sized squad for me is key this season.
