Report: Harry Kane, Tottenham squad excited about the appointment of Antonio Conte

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur has a new manager at the helm following the appointment of Antonio Conte.

The Sun reports that the hiring of the Italian tactician is well received by striker Harry Kane and the entire squad after the north London-based club decided to sack Nuno Espírito Santo.

According to the tabloid, Kane seems ready to drop all plans to leave Tottenham after the arrival of Conte. Furthermore, various reports suggest that Tottenham will hand a significant amount of money to improve the Premier League side.

Various reports suggest that Spurs is ready to hand Conte anywhere between £150-million to £238-million to spend. Should Tottenham follow through with these plans, it’s a statement to Kane that they’re ready to invest large sums of cash in putting out a squad capable of winning trophies.

Furthermore, appointing Conte, who has experience managing notable clubs in Europe, is the first step to let Kane know they’re serious.

Nuno’s most prominent managerial roles came with Porto and Valencia, not precisely the track record that Conte possesses leading clubs like Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Juventus to trophies.

If Conte is going to succeed in the short term at least he needs to get his key players to deliver. Harry is one out of two top class players we have so he is crucial in this respect. If he is excited about the new manager that is all well and good and the club need to move on from the mess of the last year or so

They write whatever they think people want to hear, accuracy is irrelevant.

I know the media throw in nonsense, I just didn’t know why it wasn’t £240m. Cheers though.

This figure is what Conte spent at Chelsea AND Inter, put together.. It’s the media talking nonsense mate. They don’t know the exact finances or plans so they fabricate.

Kane has always said he wants to play in the big games (CL) and to win trophies.. Preferably with us.. If anyone can manage this in a short time then it’s Conte. Great coach and great manager. Up the yids.

Think we can do a little better on the park once certain players have been sent to the reserves following some show feels and a 5 minute evaluation. I really hope so.

It will, we just have to wait for some transfer windows. Lets hope H can be a bit patient too.

Woah! Nobody knows Kane wants to stay now. Judging by his recent form, I’d say he doesn’t.
Of course he is happy that Conte is at the club but his team mates haven’t changed.

That painful rebuild that Poch asked for a few seasons ago, still needs to happen.

So it would appear Kane has done another U-turn and has decided to stay under the latest serial winning coach. This was his idea when Jose arrived and much as he apparently enjoyed working with him, most of the rest of the players didn’t fancy him.

The reported 240M warchest money will have to come from somewhere and it now looks like it won’t be from the sale of Kane So does this mean leveraging more debt against THFC?

The wishlist for Conte is ambitious to say the least, particularly as we can’t offer anything better than third tier Euro football.January is a notoriously difficult window to prize quality players out of their current teams especially the likes of the ones of his alleged shopping list.

As has been mentioned we need to offload quite a few players with very little time for Conte to see who if anyone is worth saving, before we start spending.

This time for joining us is not great for Conte to achieve much this season.I truly hope he makes it work, but I can’t help but be very wary of the outcome.Conte doesn’t suffer fools gladly and won’t think twice about walking. Then where does Levy go from there?

£238m is an odd figure to be bandied about (I know it is an even figure mathematically!), also totally unrealistic, unless we are adding in the Kane fee.
