Report: Harry Kane doesn’t plan to extend with Spurs; will push for a transfer

By Eddie Razo -

The summer months are nearing, which means rumors and more discussions regarding the future of Tottenham Hotspur Harry Kane. The 28-year-old is coming off a brace against Everton FC, where he surpassed Thierry Henry on the Premier League’s all-time scoring list.

As a result, there’s talk if whether Kane should again try and push for a transfer for next season. According to Sky Germany reporter Marc Behrenbeck, Kane will not extend his contract in north London, which expires in 2024, and instead wishes to complete a transfer to Manchester City.

“He is not renewing his contract and wants to try again in the summer to go to Manchester City,” Behrenbeck told Sky Germany’s Transfer Update show. “He fits perfectly into the system. In addition, it would be almost the last chance for him because of his age.”

Last summer, the striker was linked to a move to the Etihad Stadium; however, both parties couldn’t reach a deal as Manchester City was unable to meet the asking price of Spurs. However, another year older, perhaps a deal can be reached.

Nonetheless, should Spurs book a spot in the UEFA Champions and spend up to what manager Antonio desires, then maybe it’s enough to convince him to extend.

I cant see Levy selling him… on this one I think he’d rather take the financial loss than a fans backlash

How can a player untried in the PL be a wiser choice than Kane? Kane is at his best as both striker and provider, and Haaland is not fit to tie his boots.
Pep wants Kane don’t you worry about that, Haaland is just a diversion.

No one would. Harry needs 85 goals to pass Shearer. The 38-game season record for goals is 32. An average striker like Aguero scored 184 goals at City. Harry will shatter all the records there being fed by KDB and Cancelo instead of Winks and Emerson.

if he joins city, he could definitely surpass shearer in 3-4 years if his ankles stay intact, plus win a few big trophies. I wouldn’t understand if he wanted to stay at spurs

I don’t blame him wanting out anyone with half brain woujj oh d want out let me change that someone with a bit ambition would want out spurs n the biggest problem is at the top Lewis levy n co until they change or sell up then this is what we will get season in season out coz 50 thousand + turning up week in week out tells levy n co nuthing is wrong as profits r still coming in so they will buy another building instead best hing is I’m not expecting 300 mill spent all I ask is we get our 1st or 2nd choice get them in early n give the squad best chance I would be happy with 2 top top players a window a bit like what city or liverpool do pay the money n wages n agent fees stop being tight over a few million

Look, when Harry signed his last extension Levy promised that if he ever wanted to leave he would sell him but that the contract gives the team more leverage. As a loyal academy lad Harry obliged. Then Levy broke his promise and on top of that made Harry look bad to the public. He’s done with Levy, just playing out his contract now. Sure he loves playing for Conte but this doesn’t change what happened. Idk why you gents can’t see this. Harry is a regular guy. He has more money now than he ever needs or could have imagined. He is ambitious. He wants to win and break records. He wants to be at a place that matches his ambition. It’s very simple to see.

Kane is Pep’s first choice and has been for years. The noise about Haaland is that City FG are not idiots and (1) understand how bargaining power works and (2) won’t be fooled again by Levy’s false promises.

According to some German hack who knows nothing about Kane or his intentions! What is the point of regurgitating this kind of utterly speculative garbage from some non-entity of a journalist that has no relevance whatsoever to Kane’s situation?!

For what it’s worth, IF Conte stays and IF the team continues on an upward trajectory and IF ENIC Levy backs Conte in the transfer market this upcoming off-season, then I believe Harry will stay and it’s not inconceivable that he might actually sign a contract extension.

Having said all of that, that is a lot of IF’s, so a lot of preconditions needing to be satisfied, in order for Kane to stay. At this point I hope he does stay, as he is back to his best and so integral to the success of Conte’s system that he is almost irreplaceable.

If City get their first choice (Haaland) then where’s he going to rock up? Chelsea? We don’t deal with them. United? Look no closer to winning anything than we do. Liverpool? Not a ‘Klopp type signing’.

Head abroad and bye bye PL records (important to Kane).

Grealish last summer, Haaland this one…poor old Kane the second choice. You’re staying chap.

I would be surprised if Kane stays beyond the summer. He can see Levy has no interest in building a squad that will properly compete, particularly in the CL.

Getting top 4 is Levy’s mantra for the CL cash and also being in contention for a slot in the ESL when it is inevitably floated again.

If Kane were to stay, ignoring the fact Levy has allready lied to his face, then I would doubt his real ambition and would lose some respect for him.I want him to break all the records and win silverware, but it will not be with us.

No chance Harry signs another long-term contract here after Levy went back on his word the last time. He’ll stay until Conte leaves, probably at the end of this 18 month contract. Imagine how many goals he’ll score at City. I predict Harry will break the single season and all-time prem records his first season there if he’s healthy. A shame and a shambles. Thanks again Levy.

Who is this joker?
Levy “Tonio we have agreed to sell Harry Kane to Manchester City but we are close to signing a 15 year old French player who is going to rule Europe in a few years”

Allegedly he will only consider staying if we get top 4 and Conte stays as manager – presumably extending his term. Perhaps when he does go Levy will reflect on his disastrous transfer policy of recent years which for the most part hasn’t strengthened the squad one jot. Buying kids for the future is hardly likely to win trophies or convince your golden boy that the club has any ambition. Over to you Daniel, though tbh I think it’s now too late. Levy started digging his hole back in the Poch era and hasn’t stopped digging since.

Then again there is a piece in the Express stating Kane will stay on condition Conte is manager and a CL place, maybe you missed it.

Anyone with a functioning brain cell knows Levy won’t bring in the players it takes to compete for trophies or titles. It takes him an entire window to fail to reel in one mediocre target – refer to the Adama Traore saga.
Harry Kane is, however, still bound to a contract for the next two years (largely due to the incompetence of his brother) and Daniel Levy holds all the cards, as he demonstrated last summer. Don’t be fooled into thinking this summer will be any different.
Ultimately, Levy is pulling down the career of what could have been one of the most successful footballers in living memory.

According to who (the f*** is he) at Sky Germany?
Not renewing (extending) a contract that hasn’t as yet been discussed/offered & most current rumours state Manchester City want Erling Haaland??
Is his source the same as Clemmie Moody’s?
