Tottenham Hotspur has added Yves Bissouma to its midfield group, but it doesn’t appear as though they might not be done adding to the position. Over the last few weeks, Spurs have been linked to a reunion with free agent Christian Eriksen.
However, the 30-year-old is also connected to remaining at Brentford, where he spent the last six months, displaying that he has the form to play at a high level after suffering a cardiac arrest during UEFA Euro 2020 last summer.
Nonetheless, one team that will have to be crossing the Denmark international is Manchester United. According to The Guardian, Eriksen is favoring either remaining at Brentford or returning to Tottenham.
In the last few months with The Bees, Eriksen appeared in 11 fixtures, where he scored one goal and recorded four assists, showing that he has good form despite the scare he had last year.
The midfielder now seems destined to remain with either Brentford or reunite with his former manager and club this summer to continue his career.
Very harsh ‘Killer’ !
Eriksen stands up when compared to any that play a ’10’ style game , so quick to forget the general heartbreak when he left and now circumstances have contrived to ‘bring him home’ ….. He will make a fantastic coach , especially to younger players in the not too distant future , so please dont be so easy to discard a , still, genuine international player who would surely love to become even a game changing ball player if allowed in the squad . He is not guessing , he is proven and warms the cockles …………. I cannot see him at Utd !!!!!!!!!
C O Y S !!!!!!!!!!!!
Also from the Mail,Eriksen wants to stay in London and Spurs have cooled their interest in him.So you can choose to believe whatever unsubstanciated rumour you read.
How can you maybe already know your shirt number, that is pure speculation. Most people are fully aware that this is the season for wild and crazy rumours which should be taken with a large pinch of salt until the player is actually pictured in the shirt.
Well said. Also just read this from the Manchester evening news– Christian Eriksen may already know his dream Manchester United shirt number if he seals transfer. So I think you are right, he’s off to utd.
The adventures of Tintin. The neverending story 3. He should show some loyalty and integrity and stay with Brentford. No one else gave him a chance… He achieved 1 goal and 3 assists in the second half of the season. Hardly impressive.. With the ball he’s not great. Without the ball he’s useless.. He’s not good enough for a top four club, this is why City, Liverpool and Chelsea are never linked with him … He didn’t show us any loyalty choosing to run his contract down and he left on the cheap, so he probably won’t be loyal to Brentford either.. I see him going to United.
