Tottenham Hotspur will be in the market for a forward this summer, and one of the targets constantly linked to the north London club is Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine striker has a connection with manager Antonio Conte, so it comes as no surprise he wants a reunion.
However, Tuttomercatoweb reports Martinez only wants to leave Inter Milan for a club that is a contender for several trophies, like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.
Clubs like Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have expressed interest, but the 24-year-old dreams of playing for a club that can contend every year.
While Martinez is a long shot, Tottenham Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici will continue to explore the Serie A market this summer, and Calciomercato reports the club chief could be looking to reunite with midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The France international’s contract expires next year, and he’s shown in the past he can play out his deal and leave as a free agent. Furthermore, it was Paratici who brought Rabiot to Juventus in 2019.
According to the Italian media outlet, The Old Lady will be content with an offer of €15-million. If Spurs do follow through with their interest, Rabiot would be the third former Juventus player to join Tottenham.

Can you honestly believe that a player with ambitions to be a serious world class contender would look at ENIC’s Tottenham Hotspur and see a club that is serious about investing in a winning team?
As recently as 4 seasons ago Spurs looked like they were somehow competing with those teams contending for multiple trophies. We were beating the likes of Liverpool and finishing above them.
Then we went 500+ days without a single signing, trying to get by with a knackered squad.
In that time, Liverpool invested in a small number of players, some of which turned out to be world class, and they’ve only gone from strength to strength. As much as I dislike Liverpool, I have to admire their investment in proper recruitment.
In four years, whatever ambition Spurs had built up has been completely eroded, and we’ve gone from Champions League regulars and finalists to being turfed out in the early stage of the 3rd tier of competition and a return to form in scrambling late in the season to stay in with a hope for a European spot.
HaHa he wants to join a club that is a contender for several trophies! That rules us out then, perhaps he should join a club with ambition like Leicester City.
Another waster.
