Report: Brighton In For Kyle Walker-Peters

By Joe Fish -

Kyle Walker-Peters could be offered the chance to launch his Premier League career by Brighton & Hove Albion, according to The Sun.

The report understands that the Spurs’ defender is one of a number of targets for Brighton who are looking to build on their promising start to life under Graham Potter with some ambitious spending in January.

This was supposed to be a Walker-Peters’ breakthrough season, but it hasn’t worked out that way. He started the campaign in the team but soon lost his place at right-back to Serge Aurier, and has not been able to recapture it despite the Ivory Coast international making a catalogue of errors.

Walker-Peters is now 22 and only has 12 league appearances under his belt, having been tutored through our youth ranks rather than out on loan.

He badly needs to start playing regularly and I cannot see that happening at Spurs, considering he hasn’t had a proper chance amidst a right-back crisis. His only appearance under Jose Mourinho was in a much-changed lineup against Bayern Munich when his inexperience was seriously exposed.

Brighton appear to be a team on the rise under Potter and might be a good move for Walker-Peters, if they are prepared to take a gamble on him.

I get the distinct feeling they want to win it by a record and was part of last year’s roll over agreement.

Fella on talksport demanding resignation of Mike Riley. That’s too easy. I demand a full criminal investigation to this sham of a Premier League. VAR is utterly corrupted and a disgrace. Simultaneously killing the sport and enabling criminal match fixing scum to run things at their whims.

Liverpool have won the title? They had won before a ball was kicked as they were supposed to win it last year. Do they really have to keep handing them matches??

Wolves equalise, can VAR not find a way to rule it out?

Even the commentators on 5Live seem embarrassed by what is going on.

Hate to say it but too small. Up against the monstrous, super strong wingers of today he hasn’t a prayer. Good luck to him, seems a super lad.
