Report: Antonio Conte will raid Spurs for ‘underrated’ player if he leaves for Juventus

By Mehdi Gokal -

Juventus is interested in Antonio Conte, and speculation is rife about which Spurs players might follow him to Turin.

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Conte will target Heung-Min Son if he leaves Tottenham for Juventus.

Under Allegri, Juventus has had a dismal start to the 2022-23 season. While it is expected that Juventus are in transition and are not the same team they once were, they have only won two of their last nine games.

Earlier, Italian journalist Alvise Cagnazzo told The Mail that Pavel Nedved wants Conte back at Tottenham in 2023. Daniel Levy is said to have given Conte until January to decide on his future. While it appears unlikely that Conte would return to Juventus when things appear to be going well at Tottenham, a move to his old club could tempt him.

If a move occurs, CMW says he will look to raid Tottenham in the transfer market. He is said to want to sign Son Heung-min, whom he previously described as “underrated.”

Of course, all of this is hypothetical assuming Conte accepts the Juventus job, but with these rumours gaining traction, we have to wonder if Son would follow him out of north London.

Are the underrated players the ones we did buy but aren’t using or the players we already have and are using ?

Spurs don’t spend much compared to their rivals and he’s managing us. Also, his family live in Turin, just saying…

Whether that is the case re his contract or not, Juventus do not have the financial capacity to satisfy the transfer demands of Conte, which was why he left both them and Inter. If he were to leave i would imagine it would be more likely to PSG.

Conte’s contract is up soon, there would be no compensation. Unless this yet to be officially substantiated claim that the club cab trigger a year extension is true. However, Levy might not even want to extend his deal, I have a feeling he doesn’t…

Agreed. Even if Conte wanted to go (which i presently doubt) Juventus don’t even have the money to pay for Conte’s compensation yet alone Son’s transfer fee!
