Pundit states the obvious about West Ham clash and it needed to be said

By Bruce Grove -

After winning three matches from their first three league games this season, Spurs gave their fans a dream start under Nuno Espirito Santo.

However, the season quickly unravelled with three league losses following, including one against Arsenal in the North London derby.

Things are looking up again after consecutive wins against Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

However, the positive atmosphere at Spurs remains fragile considering the team is still prone to a poor performance like we saw on Thursday against Vitesse.

Our next game would be against West Ham in the Premier League and it is a derby we cannot afford to lose.

Spurs record in derbies have been pretty horrific recently and former Premier League midfielder, Michael Bridge says Spurs need a result in the derby against West Ham to keep the feel-good factor at the club.

He told Give Me Sport: “Tottenham have been pretty poor in London derbies over the last couple of years. They need to get something there because it will dip again if they lose.”

West Ham has been in impressive form in the last two seasons and the Hammers will present a serious challenge to Tottenham this weekend.

However, with four wins from their last six visits to West Ham, this game presents a good chance for us to remain dominant against David Moyes’ team.

I really hope so. Can’t stand them, only place ever get abuse and trouble without looking for it. Abiding memory of upton park was of being kept in for 60 mins after and having abuse hurled at us by what i assumed to be a grandma and grandson, about 10, who had to be removed in the end. Funny at the time, so sad on reflection. Antonio is a real worry, unplayable if he is on it

I hope so. Really detest those scumbag wannabes. This is always their cup final. Don’t think he will pick Rodon though – difficult to understand what Dier has to do to get dropped!

We should do the Spam.. Hoping Ndom can keep up his toon performance. He was impressive…. 4231… Lloris… Reggy, Romero, Rodon, Emerson… Hojberg, Skipp… Son, Ndombele, Lucas… Kane…. Wouldn’t mind a later Bryan Gil appearance.. I think we’ll smash these by 3 or 4 goals to 1.
