Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has expressed his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur and join Atletico Madrid.
The midfielder is strongly linked with a move to the La Liga club, and talks for a potential transfer are ongoing this summer.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Hojbjerg has made his intentions clear to both the Spurs hierarchy and Atletico Madrid.

He hopes that by informing Tottenham of his desire to move, the club will be more willing to reduce their asking price for him.
Hojbjerg joined Tottenham in 2020 after impressing with his performances for Southampton.
Since then, he has become one of the most consistent and reliable players in Spurs’ midfield.
However, it appears that new manager Ange Postecoglou may not have the midfielder in his plans for the upcoming season. As a result, Tottenham could consider selling Hojbjerg for the right fee.
Selling the Danish international would also free up significant wages, which could be reinvested to strengthen the squad as part of Tottenham’s ongoing summer rebuild.
They have already signed James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario, and Manor Solomon and have secured the permanent signings of Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro.
The focus for them seems to be a centre-back now and they continue to be linked with a number of defenders including Micky van de Ven, Edmond Tapsoba and Victor Nelsson.
A number of players are expected to leave as well and Hojbjerg seems to be up there in that list.
As negotiations continue between the two clubs, the future of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg remains uncertain.
