Premier League club ready to sell ‘phenomenal’ player that ‘impressed’ Fabio Paratici; Spurs could make a move

By Mehdi Gokal -

Fabio Paratici was impressed by James Garner every time he went to watch Djed Spence last season, according to Football London, amid reports Tottenham want to sign the Manchester United youngster.

Garner is one of the most recent names to be linked with Tottenham. According to reports in The Athletic on Monday, Spurs are one of the clubs keeping an eye on the 21-year-old.

Garner had an excellent loan at Nottingham Forest last season and went on United’s tour to Thailand and Australia with the goal of breaking into the first-team. However, a minor injury limited his opportunities to impress Ten Hag, and he was an unused substitute against Brighton and Brentford.

Manchester United are now prepared to offload Garner and he may be able to leave for as little as £14 million.

Garner and Spence both played a crucial role in Forest’s promotion. So it’s no surprise that the Manchester United midfielder, along with Spence, captured Paratici’s interest as reported by Football.London.

Garner will not be expensive for a club like Tottenham. And he can play a variety of midfield positions. He has the potential to produce ‘phenomenal’ moments. And many Manchester United fans will probably find it perplexing that the club is willing to sell at a time when they are in such disarray on the field.

Garner may believe that joining Tottenham is a risk given the level of competition. However, the opportunity to work with Antonio Conte and potentially compete for trophies will undoubtedly be appealing.

Tottenham, on the other hand, will be one team keeping an eye on him while his future remains uncertain – especially if he stays at Manchester United beyond this transfer window.

Well..I can’t imagine him hitting any performance-related goals anytime soon, but at least it gets him out of the building for now and saves us some salary money.

Now for Winks and Reguilon and ideally at least one incoming CM different to what we already have.

There was no war chest, it was a movement of funds into the operational area of the club and nobody said it was for players at all. I don’t reckon we’ve even spent the Champions League qualifying revenue yet, certainly in net terms. We need another midfielder,, we were outclassed in that area on Sunday…

Of course we’re backing Conte. Notice we got 7 players in early doors…
Recognise the man is happy. Listen to his interviews..
He wouldn’t still be here if he wasn’t being backed.

It’s true.. Don’t know anything about him apart from he was at Sampdoria…
He has to be better than Hitchen’s chief scout Brian.

Tottenham have appointed Leonardo Gabbanini – one of the key men in the Pozzo scouting network – as the club’s new chief scout.

Anyone know if this is true and anything about him?

He is a Manchester United player.

He is no more a Forest player than Skipp is a Norwich player

We need some more warriors from the war chest if yesterday’s game showed us anything.

War chest spunked on maybe one player to threaten the first eleven? Not that’s it’s a war chest. Enic smoke and mirrors yet the same old punts. Going for De Jong would be a statement of intent. Yet we won’t.

Another youngster from Forest? Is this what’s called ‘backing Conte’?
